Disclaimer:
so previously i proved to be too erratic and disorganized with myself to commit to a grow journal and not get distracted going off on other tangents. BUT THIS WILL NOT BE THE CASE!.

i will keep you informed, this will be updated weekly. and you will see pics with each post!
that is the jbrown guarantee!

so here is the down-low:

first we have a jack herer clone i have been growing to replace my old mother which is flowering as we speak.

and the stars of the journal who we will follow through flowering are the 6 northern lights XShiva crosses i have aquired from nirvana seeds through the attitude(lovin the breeder packs, and lovin the stealth)

both strains are in a medium consisting of 2 parts FF ocean forest, 2 parts FF Happy Frog, 1 Part Pearlite

the plants are 8-10" under a 2' 4 bulb t5 with 6500k bulbs putting out a little under 8000 lumens of high efficiency florescent light

i run a box fan on low circulating air into the chamber about 12-16 hours a day.

here is the info on the individual strains that i will be updating weekly and todays info:

03 - feb - 2009

10 - feb - 2009

(NLxS):

height(min-max): 5"-7.5"
feeding
-fresh water 6.0 ph with 10ml diamond nectar, 5 ml sweet, 1 ml floralicious plus{watered them yesterday}
- foliar spray twice a week (50ml diamond nectar, .25ml floralicious plus, 950ml water ph 6.0) only once a week at this point
Age: VDay08
Temps: 75-78 during the day 66-70 at night 34-30% Humidity
issues/notes:the plants have show some explosive lateral growth, but the humidity levels are starting to fall so i have been running the fan a little less which has raise the temps to around 77 on avarage, but nothing dangerous for the plants.
Runoff PH:6.3 - 6.8

Jack Herer
:

this plant is going the way of a bonsai mom with another plant i have so at this time looks more like a twig with some leaves an empty branches. i'll post more pics as it fills out.

the botanicare sweet is composed of ebsom salts and simple carbohydrates(sugars),
it helps prevent stress and provides small trace amounts of magnesium to prevent deficiencies in the soil.
i add it in small concentrations through vegging and the first month of flower,
in larger concentrations later in flowering and during transplants and light transitions,
and in the highest concentrations during the last 2 weeks while i flush.

the diamond nectar is fulvic acid which helps the plants break down the nutrients in the soil so they can use them more efficiently.

floralicious + contains all kinds of minerals and organisms that help make the plants smell and taste delicious. but its strong so only a little bit is necessary, i may just switch over to floralicious bloom and floralicious grow before I finish just because i feel i may be able to taylor the nutrients more to what the plant speciffically needs.

NL-Shiva:
height
(min-max): 9"-12"
feeding
-fresh water 6.0 ph 1 ml floralicious plus{watered them 02/16}
- no more foliar spray
Age: VDay015
Temps: 75-77 during the day 65-70 at night still about 34-30% Humidity
issues/notes: 2 plants have shown female preflowers, 1 other has small preflowers that look female, but no pistil yet, and one has a beginning preflower that could go either way at this point, its too small for me to really tell at this point. these guys are all begging to be flowered but i just don't have the space yet.
Runoff PH:6.6-6.9

next update on the 22nd

NL-Shiva (mother):
height(min-max): 28.5"
feeding
-fresh water 6.0 ph, 1 tsp grow(earthjuice) 1 tsp bloom (earthjuice)
Age: VDay047
Temps: 78 during the day 72 at night about 48% Humidity
issues/notes: she is begging to be flowered but i'm waiting till the others are done, she will be a beast. had a 100% success rate with around 25 clones cut. and she is fully healed and ready to go.
Runoff PH:6.5

NL-Shiva(flowering)
:
height(min-max): 25", 29", 37"
feeding
-this week i cut down a bit on ferts to do a mid way mini flush to clear out the soil a bit. just used 1 tsp earth juice bloom and 2 tsp sweet. i will resume normal fertilizing again next week.
Age: 12/12 day 29
Temps: 78-81 during the day 70-74 at at the moment humidity is at 36%
issues/notes:buds are really starting to fill out. on one plant i had a nitrogen deficiency issue but it is well on its way to repair since at this point the plants are not really taking up that much nitrogen anymore so the small amount i am giving it seems to be helping. the other two are amazing and doing great.
Runoff PH:6.5, 6.75, 6.6

got more ph down !
