The great thing about it is if you do end up pushing them a little too hard, you just back off and reset with HERC or Tea or both.....

Signs that I'm overdoing it if I push next feeding? I'm at 1 tsp Medusa, 2tsp Gaia, 1 tsp Zeus, 3 tablespoons Herc right now, about to feed with some Tiger Bloom next time as a tea/earthworm casting/bat guano supplement... Can I just add all that in along with the other 4, or does the tea need to be it's own watering?
Signs of overdoing are the classic burnt tips, could slow down a bit and not drink as fast, ph usually stops the upswing and may show minor deficiency or lock out......the list goes on.....SLURRIES will keep you coloring inside the lines!!

As far as your TEA day, considering your last slurry and what you have...Photoplus right?...I would do 2 tbls of HERC, 2 tbls BIG BLOOM ( Not TIGER BLOOM), then OLY UP to 6.5/6.6 then 12 ml Of Photoplus all per gallon. I think you will be really pleased with the result.

I know this probably belongs in the plant problem section, but you guys know more about NFTG than anyone in that section, can you tell what's going on here? Only one of my plants is looking like this. Dark brown areas on the fan and sugar leaves.
Weird thing is that this is only appearing on one of my four plants (all different strains). Also the leaves feel very brittle and rough.

pH: 6.1
PPM: hovering between 585-600

ph need to come up ..min 6.3 -to 6.8 and your ppm needs to come down 300-500 on 700 scale , 200-400 on 500 scale ... need to do a herc flush with ph at 6.4 .... getting into a lockout ....

Damn I had been struggling with low pH levels the last 2 weeks. I added a full tsp of Olympus up every feed and I'm still below the ideal level. Tomorrow I'll hit it with some HH and olympus up.

It definitely won't rise fast, it takes multiple feeds at higher PH and really work the HERC in!! Saturate the media with NO runoff @ 30 ml Of HERC and OLY up way over 6.4......need to over shoot, if your at say 5.8 ph with a soil slurry, I would PH my reset flush to 6.8-7.0.....this should get you into the low 6.0's so calcium can start getting up into the plant again. Then depending on your ppms, prolly HIGH, then you can do a compost tea with a 6.6-6.8 ph and with a little runoff it will push some of the salts out and microbes will start working on the HERC tied up salts.......30 ml Of Gaia & Oly up is a pretty bad ass little reset recipe too!! If your environment is pretty good then after a week of these steps, your root zone should be back on track and normal feeds can be built up to the following week. And just watch your SLURRIES!! If your in veg or transition then you can foliar feed while getting the root zone back in check.

Ha.....I posted that last post without reading your first post with pics & slurry #s....that 6.1 is way to low for your growth stage, calcium & phosphorous are unable to be taken up, as well as micronutrients. I would HERC reset around 6.8, then the TEA.....slurry....then that Gaia feed/flush. I assume your nearing the finish, if you can work your root zone back into the mid to upper 6's then she will ripen off much better and curb anymore leaf damage. This is why I like that Gaia feed/flush so much when I'm correcting root zone problems!!

My Secret Sauce GAIA FEED/FLUSH recipe:
30 ml Gaia
2-4 ml Full-on
2.5 ml ThermX70 yucca
Oly up
SLF-100, or EM1, or microbes (if needed)

This is my SECRET weapon!! Its my flush in the FFT FFF schedule!! I only do Herc flushes when I have to and when ripening; it's just not necessary when everything is on point. Full-on is expensive but awesome, using it at least once a week is very economical and I get way better results this way than adding the fullon to my feeds. Then when I get in the BK zone, I add 30 ml Of HERC to the recipe. Full-on is not absolutely necessary for this to work for you but if you know anything about it, its the perfect add-on for what we are aiming for in our fft ffF. I found it hard to dial in when adding it to my feeds, it works too damn good, just makes too much available, too fast when growing in smaller rootzones (3 gal). So, other than foliar, I started using it in my flushes only. The more I learned how to use the line, I didn't need to Herc flush so much. It's still important to manage salt buildup and give the rootzone a break so the Gaia feed/flush with fullon was born!! I use way less fullon now, less NECTAR too!! Win Win

hitting it out of the park... I just didn't want to get into to much , cause I don't know what all he has to work with ....

I know, I just wanted to offer up what I do when in similar situations and what works in MY ENVIRONMENT!! and is a good template to tweak to their particular environment. It's kinda why I explained fullon a bit. It didn't matter how much I reduced my feed to offset the availability fullon creates when in a 3 gallon pot......instant tip burn, so I figured the best use and bang for the buck was to use in my flushes once a week. I happened to have one 7 gallon pot going that handled the fullon in feeds like a champ!! The bigger root zone, "the engine", could handle the fullon, "the high octane gas", compared to the 3 gals that kept getting burnt tips. And I kept hearing Scott and fullon reps talk about all its benefits and flushing is one of them.

funny you say that ..I seen where people foliar bk and use fullon burnt plants up ... never could get an straight answer .... I think using both cause the issue ... even in my 5 gallon pots I got some tip burn ...

I was gonna stop using completely because it. I always got good results from veg foliar but I'm not paying $50 for a foliar...haha....I'm definitely digging it at 2 mil per gallon in flushes.

that was misleading ....foliar bk and root drench fullon and still got tip burn ... hate to se if anyone did use fullon as a foliar ...

I did a HH/olympus (6tsp and 2tsp respectively) flush twice about 30 hours apart. First one seemed to take it well, no run off. Then today I did it again and there was a ton of run off. Run off was at 5.6, then I did a slurry test and I was at 6.0-6.2 depending on which plant. Now I realize I was definitely in lock out, because after the first flush my colas gained 4-6 inches in height! Stretched like a madman after one day.
My question is: should I keep doing HH/olympus up flushes until I am in the proper range? Or next time should I add my regular nutrients as well as 2tsp of Olympus up?

I'm curious as to what your flush ph is when you use 2 tsp. Oly? Also, forget about runoff ph, not an accurate reading of the rootzone.
I would do 30 ml. Gaia, Ful-power if ya got it, or 5 ml Zues, ph'd to 6.6-6.8 to a little run off!! Think of it like a flu shot & a multivitamin.....now that she is starting to eat again, this feed/flush will help her metabolism get back up to speed. Don't just go right back to full strength feeds, build back up--1/2....then 3/4.......then full, try to gauge feed strength building from slurry #s.

I totally forgot to check pH after I mixed up the HH and Olympus up. And I don't have ful-power either, but my local grow store has a quart for $25, is it worth getting? I do have Gaia and Zeus though. I'll try that tomorrow night or maybe Sunday, my media is just soaking wet right now and can't handle any more.

Gaia and Zues just fine.....Zues is made from fulpower!! Definitely let it dry out more!

be careful your getting yourself in a spot where you get wet feet and have to wait for days to do anything and have more issues ... wanna do less volume more feed ... what rate do you water now ?
