Watered/Fed in the veg tent today and loli popped some more where necessary. Took clones off the third girl that I had not gotten to yet they've been soaking in KLN/water for a while and will hit the DWC cloner in a bit.

The GE 6500K bulbs have been performing flawlessly this run. @BOBBY_G

The dark devil auto is flushing nicely and the she is still turning colors on me. I'm going to defoliate some of the larger fan leaves to let the middle and lower buds get some more light before it's time to chop. She has gotten tap water only the last couple of waterings.

This is just one cola after trimming the bigger fan leaves on the dark devil auto, there's a few like this I am stoked for this more than anything else hope it doesn't disappoint. She is getting tap water tonight again and I will keep an eye on her.

And a shot of the Barney's Blue Cheese (some of the leaves are dried from when I was away recently but I am sure they will bounce back)

Anyone?

I currently have two theories in front of me:
1) Calcium/Cal Mag issue
2) Leaf Miners

I had this problem during both my two grows so far...
exactly the same leaf necrosis and rusty patches between leaf veins. i am growing on coco... and my first grow which was also most problematic was not supplementing with cal-mag since my tap comes @ around 280ppm. i learned that was a mistake because cal-mag in tap water either is not easily used by the plant or is not enough...
my second grow i did supplement my tap with cal-mag, like... half recommended dose and they were fine but at some point i started using RO water and not feeding enough cal-mag for fear of burning them and guess what 10 days noticed the problem re-appeared. from the moment i started using tap water again and consistently supplemented with cal-mag it has disappeared so i can confidently say it is a cal-mag def...maybe leaning more on the calcium side.
i know i am a little bit late but thought it might help.
cheers.

Thanks I since started growing in coco as well and my tap water has been fine with no cal mag on my current plants. I switched nutes to Nova Grow and Nova bloom as well when I switched to coco and it has just made my life so much easier and been fantastic my veg plants have never looked so good. It's nice getting to a point where things are getting dialed in and giving positive results, and has been and continues to be such a wonderful learning experience. I have been really fortunate to have someone help me out A LOT in the back ground as well too. My first harvest will be done soon waiting on one more plant and I already took down 8 ounces dry not including larf and trim that has all been ground up and smoked and been awesome. So we will see what the dark devil leaves me, but I would have never imagine this much flower from three plants and two being autos grown full time under T5's......and the other a runt grown under the 315w CMH and LED at the beginning.

Thanks for chiming in
Cheers :bigjoint:

Ok guys.... small update.......after some feedback with a couple members via pm I have taken the following direction for building my first DIY LED light.....

I ordered 8- Vero 18's from digikey, (4) 3500K & (4) 4000K, will run these off of one of my Mean Well 240-1050B driver. This should allow me to cover the canopy nice and evenly and I will have the dimming function. I am trying to locate some pinned heat sinks (preferably pre drilled and tapped) for these, and want to use angled aluminum and rivets to put it together.

For the $96 cost plus shipping on the COB's I am excited to see how they perform. Now I chose this route over Citizen because I do not need extra COB holders and what not, and well to try something different than what everyone else is doing, and the current I will run them at they were tested at so...... solid data there......

I am curious to see what the build turns out like and how it will perform, can't wait to get started.

So what else do I need to get now guys?
I want to mount my driver outside the tent unless you guys think the one driver would be fine in there with the COB's passively cooled........?
What connectors, wire, etc..... I have never done anything like this lol.......
i Build my DIY led light inspired by the folks here on RIU and if you take into consideration my experience ( which i don't have ) LED cobs work really great man... Do it...you wont regret it.

I actually went away from COB and have been extremely happy with the CMH light and my new T5 setup with the GE 6500K bulbs. I have like ten years of light for $140 in bulbs lol.....hard to argue with that and look at the veg tent.

The new setup for the flower tent will be worked on this weekend hopefully, I am getting my frame for the flood tray in there built up and need tro build the vert trelisses and the box for the light mover, going vert with a 600w Blue MH to see what happens to my yields

I am also growing barneys blue cheese now...:bigjoint:. i am in the end of week 4 of flower and i'm really excited about how she will bulk up. can confirm that she is a healthy and very tolerating bitch...although the dinafem cheese i am growing by her side is a lot more frostier and smelly...

For me it was a question of love with DIY stuff...and also i got infected by the passion of all the DIY LED fellas here on RIU, but it is obvious that you grow beautiful flowers with your setup :clap:and most probably you don't need cobs... for now.
Cheers man.:peace: Happy Grow.:weed:

As I have explained to people here before, I am not bashing COB's I just think the tech needs some more time to better develop and cost to come down. I am also a new grower having just taken down 2 of 3 girls from my first harvest. My growing abilities are no where near exceeding the technology I use in lights in my opinion as a new grower so I think it will benefit me more later to get the basics down now then reap the benefits of better LED tech that's just me though. The extra cash freed up has allowed me to expand which is what was more important to me at the time.

But i totally understood you @Evil-Mobo ...it is clear to me that you were not bashing anything...and also that you are open to the idea... this is what i intended with " you don't need COBs... for now"... in a few years maybe , just like you saying... the cobs technology progress might make them irresistible ...
You are doing a great job with your setup and being smart with your cash can never be negative...
I myself know that i am not getting everything from my setup...because of my abilities/experience ... i did not my first grow definitely... i would be happy if i hit 1gpw this grow... it is my goal, that would make the decision of building a DIY LED definitely sweeter.
:peace:peace man... going to feed my babies.

The grow room is a slight reno zone at the moment. But the plants are still doing well.

Here's a shot of the veg tent with some shitty clones I am trying to see if will root, not stressing them but trying......

And a shot of the flower tent with it's new flood table setup like the veg tent for my DTW (YAY!) This tent will be undergoing more changes in the next couple of days so not stressing how close the Blue Cheese is to the 315 right now I will keep an eye on it tomorrow though

My first run is done and I am tired of the silliness on this forum with people who have no manners. I will no longer be updating this thread. I want to thank everyone that has helped and watched along.

Good luck growers :blsmoke:
