Newbie tryin again!

So a while ago i tried to grow but it was more of a throw a seed in some dirt and see what happens. The plant grew about 2 feet tall i was using probably less than minimal lighting and it died right as it started to bud. THIS time im going serious. My plan is to LST with energy saving bulbs ( CFL's?) this is what my friend suggested he has a whole guide on growing with them. So the point of this post is to find out all the supplies ill need. ill probly only do 1-2 plants at once as my closet is kinda small. my friend said if temp goes past 70 i have to worry about bugs.

If your gonna do cfl you will need the ones that give off a blue light for veg and the reddish lights are for flowering an i would get neem oil since there inside for insects,mites you can get it at lowes for like $10. Are you gonna grow in soil or hydro?

if youre growing 2 plants and you want some decent buds you should get 4 100 watt equivalent cfls by ecosmart. thats what i use because they are very cheap. temp should be around 75-80. neem oil is also a good idea to use if you expect bugs.

there are a variety of reasons people get bugs. simply having your temps above 70 will not invite bugs in itself unless you make a bug friendly environment. a lot of people's temps hover around 80 anyway. mine can get into the 90s in the summer and no bugs.

get as much light as you possibly can without overloading the circut or creating a fire hazard. imo there is no such thing as overkill when using floro light unless it makes a hazard or too much heat. simple table fans should suffice for cooling cfls.

lst is an excellent idea for this type of grow. your focus should be to keep the canopy as even as you can so you can get the most from your lights.
