This is my first grow. I am not counting my "other" first grow, as it was a total flop. I have access to llama beans, and this time is all I have used on the plants. I have been using it as a tea to water my 6 plants with. (Indoor in potting soil). Should I ever use pure water to water them, or is it OK to only use the tea?. Does it have enough phosphorous in it or should I add some? What and How? Should I flush the pots - once a month - with plain water? What about ph? I think maybe it is alkaline, and my WalMart reader says the ph in my soil (6 weeks now) is around 7. I wasn't using organics on my first effort. Used Miracle Grow. Was getting around a 7.5 Tried to lower ph with vinegar and killed half of my plants. Can anybody help me? These plants seem to be doing well and I don't want to screw it up. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Your questions are so numerous and so all over the place I would suggest you slow down and do some basic reading on the topic of growing marijuana organically and then post some specific questions. Good luck.

I bit harsh but I agree, question are all over the place, slow down son, what is the first problem you have. Quick concise sentence if you will ;)

I didn't mean to sound harsh earlier, sorry if taken that way. In general, if your plant has good color and good leaf structure, you shouldn't do too much for it, just steady as she goes. Let it give you a suggestion that it could use more of something. With more experience it will get easier to know when to make changes preemptively. Do you have reason to believe it is deficient in P? Pictures? Raw manure?

With more details on your grow and some pics, your response rate will go up and you'll get better information.

Yeah Bugeye has it right, post some pic's if you can of the plants and grow environment. We love looking a t pic's, it give us something to argue about, lol. You add stuff if your plant is in trouble, also by adding stuff you could get yourself in trouble.

Thank you, gentlemen. No pics, as am low tech 75 y.o. senior on Soc Sec, and growing to supplement income! I have gardening experience outdoors, vegetables. Plants look good, are growing quickly, but see no signs of pre-flowering, or whatever. 4 are clones of a Sativa, 2 Indicas from seed . Growing since Oct. 22. Have rescue llamas and am using their poo to make llama tea. Llama poo is N-1.7 P-.67 K- .66. I am using CFLs and 4 junky square LEDs from China. 6 plants, lights suspended on chains rigged up to a metal hammock frame that I wrestled into the second bedroom. Covered with sheets of Mylar that rest on 2 parallel chains which lights are hanging from. I am good on temp and humidity. Going on 8 weeks and all they do is grow. Did LST yesterday, as recommended on Newbie Central. Is it safe to put them on 12/12? $50 book by some guy named Ryan said do not put them on 12/12 until are pre-flowering. I would greatly appreciate your comments.

Hello i would like to help you out.
ill try to awnser your questions as best as i could.

yes its ok to use ur teas. Plain water can be ok as long as its not hard water.
you dont really have to wait untill sex shows to flower. As soon as you flip to 12/12 ur plant will show their sex, simply pull the males.
however vegging is key to a successfull grow. If your are in need or inpatient then by all means go ahead and flower, however i would argue to veg your plants about a month more, keep LST on your daily schedule. I promise all the time and hard work will pay off.

Keep your grow simple and dont worry about thinks like NPK.
as long as you have your basics, like worm casting and compost, u should be ok, just keep top dressing with those, make some basic teas with worm casting kelp and mollasses.
look into botanicals and like i said in your other thread, look here all your questions will be awnsered!

The llama beans are good. I'd use regular water on them (your plants, not the lama beans. LOL), alternating with teas. As I said in your other thread, the beneficial bacteria and the mycorrhizal fyungi will make P readily available to your plants, so you don't need to give mad amounts of P during flower. You have plenty of P and K in that llama manure. Shitcan the walmart pH thingy. It's less than worthless. pH is pretty much a non issue in soil with organics, Don't screw around trying to chase pH or take much advise about pH as most folks haven't a clue as to what pH is or how it affects nutrient uptake. The important value to consider is the pH value of the soil itself, not th pH of what you put in or what comes running out.
Just chill. If you have a "green thumb" and gardening experience, go with what you know. cannabis is just a plant. Nothing more. No hoodoo, sorcery or magic involved in growing good weed, Just good genetics and a sound working knowledge of basic biology and botany. If you have any q's, pm me. You know that you can make a great tea from the llama beans!. Get some kelp extract and some earthworm castings in there as well.

At 1.7-.69-.69, you have everything needed in good levels in Llama poop. You'll need micro-nutrients and minerals, kelp is a great source, as is EWC.

olderlady, the humus content of your soil mix is the single most important thing to focus on. If you don't have a good source of compost/vermicompost in your mix, no amount of amendments will get you to where you want to be. If I were you I would invest in some worms. A diet of Llama poo and table scraps will produce some of the best castings imaginable. Check out Uncle Jims worms on the net, and order yourself a few pounds of red wigglers. Set them up in a good sized storage tote, drill a few holes for aeration, put down some bedding (shredded cardboard, coco coir, sphagum peat moss, etc) wet the bedding down a bit, add the worms and some food and let them do their thing.

This is where your focus should be imo.

Llama poo is great btw. Bunny poop is gold too.

According to what I read, she's taking her poo from the middle of the pile where there is active decomposition going on. That's really good bacterial and fungal action!! Yeah, good compost is a must, along with EWC, and Llama poo that has gone thru the worm processor would be GOLD!!

Think I've got it! Kelp extract and dig down a little in garden get some soil from where the earth worms lived last summer, and mix some of this in the top couple of inches in the top. Can wash castings stuff do

That'll do for now, but when you get ready for the next round, PM me and I'll walk you thru mixing a soil with what you have available that will be light years ahead of any store bought potting soil.

Hi there lady,

Whatever I had to say have been answered about the grow. All I have to say now is go steady, don't rush into anything. Keep it simple and always remember that Cannabis is a strong plant- a weed. So be at peace if there are no twisted curled or yellow leaves. Keep checking the underside of leaves for pests as well. Ensure proper drainage, plenty of fresh water and sit tight.

Reading more will help you too, lots and lots of knowledge here in RIU. Welcome and do enjoy your stay here :D

The experienced growers here can help you if you help yourself first. What are ya waiting for? Go and read read read till you fall asleep.

Cheers and good luck to you!

Peace and Love,
Toker.
