newbie needs help!!!!

Well I bought two clones about two weeks ago. One is Alien OG and the other is Tahoe. Right now I have them in a gallon of miracle gro potting soil. I just found out that MG is bad for my babies. However they've been doing pretty well. I'm unsure of alot.
like when I move them to five gallon buckets should I change their soil to something else? Also what do I feed them?
What is topping and pruning and how is that done.
Like I said I'm a newbie and am in need of some help.

Also I am growing indoors.

Mg is only bad in certain circumstances.

Yes, feel free to change them to a different soil when you transplant them.

The key to working with mg is to not over water and do not let the temperatures rise too high, both of these contribute to the time release nutrients which are in miracle grow.

The only thing that makes your bud harsh is a premature harvest and/or poor drying and curing techniques. MG soil is a challenge to grow a good plant to flower but if done right you will have some tasty potent bud.

Topping and pruning is easily done.. To top a plant after it gets to a desired height.. Just pinch the new leaf sets that are forming at the top, and pull them off.. This vcan be done on all the branches too, After they reack 1 nodes pinch the small little new leaf growth and pull it off just like you did to the top.. This will cause the originnal node with the two leafs to form two new branches.. then after those reach to another node, do the same thing.. It basically doubles the amount of branches everytime.. So instead of one you end up with two.. instead of to you end up with four and so on and son..This is known as pinchingéfimming.. This causes your plant to become really bushy.. and an awesome yeilder.. Hope this helped.. heres a pic..

here is m advice. dont transfer them so much. why put into 1 gal to then move to 5 gal. its unneeded stress. put in 5gal or 3 gal whatever and then leave it to grow there. and no dont change the soil. whatever you are using is what you are using now. good luck
