Newbie Here AND To Growing

Hi all,

Obviously, I'm new here. I suffer from fibromyalgia, and it's gotten to the point where my cabinets full of pain meds don't help, so I want to go the marijuana route. Unfortunately, I moved to a new state where I don't know anyone to buy from, and I don't want to deal with new doctors. So...I'm going to make an attempt to grow my own.

Ha! My big problem is that I have a black thumb. I can kill a freaking cactus. Seriously, I can just LOOK at a plant and it dies. It's like a superpower gone wrong. So this should be interesting. I plan to order the hardiest seed strain I can find, and once I figure out what kind of setup I need for just a couple of indoor plants (I've ordered a gob of books and have bookmarked a bazillion websites,) I'll get going on it.

Anyway, I look forward to participating in discussions, and I'm finding all the posts to be awesomely informative.

Thanks! I think I've decided on a 250 watt tent kit from HTGsupply, but I'll hold off until I get my books in and do some reading. Might be worth making the trip to the store rather than paying for shipping, as well. Lots to learn. Funny how stale birdseed can grow under the birdfeeder, but intentionally growing a WEED can be so involved! LOL

Welcome! I think I may have fibromyalgia too... Trying to get a diagnosis still but I have to assure you, many indicas are especially good for pain management. Don't worry, every question you will EVER need to ask about your grow will be answers here already, or someone will swoop in to help.

Thank you! I'm finding the community here to be really awesome. Ugh on the fibro - it's the worst. One of the biggest problems is that people with fibro tend to be hard to medicate because of the way our intestines filter drugs. Fibro patients have oddball reactions and tolerances to ingested meds, which is why MJ is so effective for us if it's smoked. Now I just have to hope I can actually grow it! Got my seeds ordered and my growing equipment on the way, so we'll see what happens. Let me know if you have any fibro questions, and good luck!
