It's my first time growing! I've taken pictures throughout the past few weeks, the plants aren't matured yet however I've already started to notice a bit of yellow on one of my plants? Is this from heat? or lack of nutrients? or should i just wait a bit longer to tell? The stem also seems weak at times and within the first 2 weeks my plant went limp, any help/tips/feedback would be much appreciated!

Lookin good for starters...the best tip i can give you is Dont overfeed!! Remember it is a weed and it will grow like one, it doesnt need much nutes.

In terms of nutrients, when and how much should i feed it? I purchased 20-20-20 all purpose fertilizer, is this the right type?

Thanks a lot for your comments, i really appreciate it!

Prob not the right nutes, 20-20-20 is not balanced well for MJ.

They look pretty healthy to me, What soil are you useing? Seedlings dont really need any nutes....providing they were planted in a good balanced soil. I have never used CFL's, but to me it looks like you need to get the light closer......this should reduce the amount of stretch and keep the plant from getting to top heavy and falling over.

Im using 70% peat moss and 30% perlite. I haven't fed the plants any nutes yet. Do i need to be worried about the pH level of the soil? and if so how do i check it?

Your plants look good and healthy to me. Some plants just start a lighter green and turn darker as they grow. Those bulbs are alright for about...another few days, but then your going to want to get bigger/stronger lights for your babies to thrive. And yes with CFL bulbs you want the sides (most powerful) withing 6 inches of your plants. For vegging you want nutes with the N-P-K ratio to be high in N and low in P and K. With soil i havent paid much attention to pH and have had great results, but other will probably disagree.Other than that keep it up!

They look pretty good..Do you have a fan on them? They look a little stretched and skinny. Try to get the light closer and a fan for leave movement will toughen up the stalk.
Now is about the time to give them some nutes start with 1/4 and work your way up.

How do you define a weed? Dictionary says an unwanted plant - which my girls aren´t for sure.

MJ responds well to nutes - in fact grows very like tomatoes.

I tried using a fan but even when I keep it on low the plant still blows over. I think I'm going to head out today to get a smaller fan and a light. Any idea on what type of light I need to switch to and when I should switch it? Also does switching the light bulb require me to change the lighting schedule? I know its not the best place but I'll probably end up going to wal-mart for the supplies so any help on what I need to buy would be great!

yea man its time to switch it up a bit, get a 400w cfl and lower it to about 8 inches above your plants, and have a light schedule of 18/6 and u will be good for now

I just bought two 150w equivalent CFL bulbs and lowered it closer to the plants. I was thinking of adding nutes but I currently have one that's 20-20-20 NPK. Should I wait until I have the right fertilizer or is this okay for now?
The light schedule is on 18/6 when should I switch it to 12/12?, I don't want the plants to get too big I was thinking about switching the light schedule when the plants are 1 foot in length, does this seem reasonable? Thanks for your help!

Well at this point the bottom leaves of my plant are starting to dry up and crumble. It looks a lot worse and the leaves are starting to curl up. I have not fed it any nutes yet, im assuming its the new light bulbs i purchased so i switched them off for now. wtf...
