Only done one grow, and even thats not complete yet, but things i've learned so far;
You NEED to be able to move the lights up with growth, a few inches off the plants at the most (depending on how much heat they give off), too high, and you will get stretchy plants, with long internodal distances, you want nodes close together, as budding begins here, so if they're close together, you'll get more big buds as apposed to "popcorn" buds at each node.

Blue spectrum are good for Vegging, but when it comes to flower, you want them much lower down on the spectrum (6500k max for veg, 2500-2750 ish for flowering (i was on 6400 only for most of grow, got good vertical growth with lots of secondary growths from the nodes, but poor flowering, until i added some "warmer" (lower spectrum) lamps))

Make sure the cabinet has no light leaks, aka when the plants are on night cycle there needs to be NO light getting to them at all (or no more than a standard moon light, but pitch black is best (during veg this is when most growth is done, the plant soaks up the radiation (light) and uses it to create energy and growth hormones, then at night, this energy is put into growth, and in flowering, the difference in light cycles symbolizes the days getting shorter at the end of season, which leads to different flowering hormones being produced (due to different exposure times) any extra light can interfere with these hormones being produced and can cause the plant to go back into vegetative growth, and while it'd be nice to have a 12 ft plant, we want the flowers ;-) ))

Also, when you flip them from veg to flowering (12/12 light cycle) you can assume the plants will double in size, or there abouts, so bear that in mind when you're vegging, don't wanna have a healthy plant ruined by it reaching the top and not being able to lift the lights any higher. (sure, you could trim and top, but you might shock the plant)

As i said this is my first grow, so by no means an expert but did a lot of research/ learned a lot from my mistakes

Hope it helps :bigjoint:
Good luck with the grow

^^^ Good stuff.
You also should study up on Topping and LST.
Although I'm not sure how that works on a Auto though.
I used Uncle Ben's 4 main cola trick and Man does it work !
Good Luck with your Grow Bash !!!

Welcome to RIU. There's a lot of good information here. I would add a fan to move and strengthen the foliage and get some Yoyo's for your lights that makes them easy to move up and down and a pan the size of your tent to contain your water.

I'm sure others will be along to help soon
Happy Easter if you celebrate it,
