from germ->seedling->veg!

i've been letting them pop the soil the last night and they are all through and are starting to show they're leaves :)

my question is that i've been letting them poke through in my box with a few of the lights on to make sure it stays warm in there. now that they are poking through when is the best time to start going 18/6? should i keep the lights on 24/7 until they fully come out and show themselves?

Yup. When ever you feel ready. If you want some big plant I would suggest leaving them on a 24/7 for at least two weeks before switch, but in the end it is all up to you.

Yeah I read some people were doing that. That will honestly work out better. The constant light will keep it nice and toasty in there. You think 2 weeks is a decent time to switch then?

I have had better results using 18/6 from the start. Tried it both ways and 18/6 has worked best for me from seedling until ready for 12/12. The dark period serves a purpose and it was evident when compared directly for me. If you need the warmth then do what you need to do.

Well there is no set time table for growing the plant so its all a matter of experimenting. I have found that 2 weeks is a good time to switch. But I have also done grows where I started them from germ on a 12/12 cycle and the plants ended up being excellent. Just go with your gut.

Marijuana is not as finicky of a plant as many people make it out to be. I am currently growing a sativa that I left outside in the cold and rain for about two months, seeing that it only grew to about 6” and started dieing as a result of to much rain I threw her in a pot and took it inside. Now she sleeps in the house and by day she basks outside in the sun and she has grown a whole inch in the last 2 days. Nature is an amazing thing.

Hell yeah it is man. I had no luck germing and bag seed and just got real discouraged. So far I germed half of my tude seeds and got 5/6 to pop in 24-36 hours. Just need to realize its almost a for sure thing to mess up here and there your first time. Kinda got my hands full with five buggers but hey im up for the challenge and learning experience hahaha.

as suggested, personal preference really and of the course the cost issues. Nowadays I usually am 20 hrs on 4 hrs off. Just keep the young babies further away from the light a while then gradually move it closer
