I'll take anything as long as the humidity drops! This is insane. It's like 80 degrees but feels like 90!

Inside my house: 85%+ humidity... In my cure jars: 57%. lol. I want to be inside those jars for more reasons than the humidity! heh.

Looking good, What's your setup like?

Amax what led light do you use? I've been on the fence about getting one always looked at the bs240 and pg-180. I know for next summer I'll use LEDs to at least have a summer harvest

I was using a BS240 & a BS180 together for my last grow. Then the BS180 started having problems and I sent it in for a warranty claim. I didn't have a warranty on the BS240 so I decided to sell it before I had any problems. I still use the BS180 to veg with, It's perfect for that.

For entry level leds, those just stepping into the led realm, It seems the blackstars & pro-grows are the favorites. The pro-grows, IMO, are where it is at. They have a better warranty & draw more wattage compared to blackstars for about the same price. (IE: PG180 draws 160w while the BS240 draws 135w)

Also, You can get a decent deal on the PG's if you call them up, They'll usually knock about $20 off if asked.

There are other panels that are better, But they also cost more... Not sure what your looking to spend?

I would to spend between 300-400 but I tink I will end up spending more. But for a trial run I think the pg180 will be good no?

Yes, For a trial run I think a PG180 would be the choice. The next model is $100 more for only 20w extra.
2-3 plants is about what this unit will cover.

Ideally I would like to cover 6-8 plants or harvest at least 6-8 oz.. I think I will try the 180 when the time comes if I like then ill opt for something bigger to run for the summer and use it together with the hps for fall and winter

Honorary maybe ?

Kidding..but since the Mrs and I love New York City we would be honored :)

its a 3x3x5 tent with a 400w hps and i use the 96w t5 vor veg. i used to use the t5 all the way through but i decided to move up to the 400 cuz i could barely fit two plants under the t5

Hey Cob! Welcome to the coolest state thread on riu. As far as I'm concerned if you know the state and your familiar with what is being talked about then feel free to join in! Do you visit often or are you a transplanted new yorker?

I hear you. I just went through the same "upgrade" after a full run with some leds. I love the leds but one of the panels I had was running way too hot so I decided to sell it. After getting rid of it the remaining panel just wasn't enough for more than 2 or 3 plants so I'm using my 600w again with the led for veg.

Thanx Amax, we're from PA but we're frequent visitors to the Apple. In fact, if all goes well we should be up in a couple of weeks for the Springsteen shows at the Meadowlands if we can land the tickets.
We love NYC...We'd move there in..well...a New York minute if we could.

Thanks for the invite ! :)

Oh belive me we've often talked about exploring upstate as well. I think about having the time and that leads me to retirement and a fear that I wont live long enough to do the things I'd like to do.

There has to be a better way than working for "the man" forever but thats an entirely different subject.

??? Us city folk go there for the weekend and vacations. That is where we keep our summer homes & cabins. No need to harsh on the city
