New way of growing. No electricity. Stealth.

Your plants would be exposed to people. This way nobody sees anything. Plants are hidden but still get all the natural light they would being in the open. The solar bulbs actually concentrate the lumens greater than a window or direct light is.

You don't want concentrated light tho it would be like playing god with ants and a magnifying glass ... No?

We do want concentrated lumens. More lumens the better. Check this link. People are doing it. This is the only way to get sunlight to your plants without them being outside. How else can u bury weed in a room underground yet still get sunlight? This is a new way of growing weed outdoors in a stealth way. A 5x5 ft hole and 20 bottles is all u need.

i've seen these before in a shanti town on brazil somewhere..

the area you're going to have issues with is the hole in the ground imo... you would need tons of fresh air intake to stop things like mold and fungus from growing all over your plants...
this season on the moonshiners tv show, these two dudes spent months digging an underground hole so that they could make some moonshine in it.. after the first hard rain, the place nearly collapsed in on itself, then the mold came in..
last episode i saw they have no moved the site out into the woods and gave up on their hole idea.. i'd imagine you'd have very similar results with your idea..

That is using solar light inside and natural light outside on the plants.. And yes growing plants under the sun works... Very interesting stuff tho!

I seriously think im on to something here...

Soo simple too. Dig hole. Build cover. Fit solar bulbs. Cover up hole with your "roof"..

10 bulbs = 600watts of full spectrum light.

So 20 bulbs over 25 clones. That's 1200 watts. Easy way to grow a pound without anybody seeing anything.

Imagine fitting 50 solar bulbs to a shed roof? That's 3000 watts of free light. Plants hidden.. Never exposed to prying eyes.

Agreed ^ In enclosed spaces airflow completely trumps lumens. Any rain or water run off is just going to stagnate at the bottom of your hole causing mould and 90+ humidity. Not to mention the fact that in peak grow season you will be refilling those bottles daily, mixing bleach etc before you even get to your plants. Not to mention the sore back you will have from working on your plants below the ground. Sorry mate i just cant see this one working.

Their hole was massive though. Mine would be 4x5 meet deep and 5 foot diameter. Maybe build a small box to bury. air circulation is the main factor but a 4.5 ft deep hole is barely a hole and its not like it would be airtight. I think the wind alone would circulate air.

Ya...Hard to see it working unless you are storing the energy from the system to feed an indoor garden or use in cloder climates maybeeee...Otherwise just use the sun and skip the hassle Maybe explain to me the benefit over just using the sun. I would love to see pics though Newschool

Well it would work. Imagine putting a clone in a rubbermaid container and burying it up to the lid with a solar light on top. Why wouldn't that work? Obviously some engineering is required but it would work.. Air flow is the big one. But 4.5 ft hole is barely a hole.

I've never done this yet just an idea I had. But there really isn't a reason why this wouldn't work. It's already being done with other plants and marijuana is a lot tougher than the other plans being grown.

It's such a simple concept. You dig a hole that's 4 and a half feet deep. 5 feet wide. Put a wood box inside. Put clones in box. Pull "roof" over it that has 20 solar bulbs on it. Hide the " roof" with leaves or make grass. Water using.a wick system..

Not saying it wouldn't work. I think its a great idea. Lot of work but I think its greatest benefit is it's cool hiding spot.

using the Sun your plants would have to be outside. This way you can use the light from the Sun without having your plants outside. These bottle lights also concentrate lumens so the Sun is more intense through these bottles as opposed to just an open window or glass. The advantage is higher intensity light and stealth. How else can you have plants underground yet still grow them with light from the Sun? This is a new idea you kinda use your imagination to see the potential

Yeah you're right digging is a pain in the ass but at least you understand what I'm trying to say. What a wicked hiding spot

You keep saying it will work. Sweet, make sure to take lots of picks and post in the Grow Room Design forum and keep a grow journal that we can all follow.
