New to the site

'ello all. i'm new to the site and just wanted to introduce myself. i'm a 24 year old grower from the southwest. been growin since i was 16(outdoor). i havent been growing for around a year due to a robbery on my previous grow house a while back. just got a new location and starting from scratch. just wanted to show you guys (and gals) what i'm working with. i'm running a 1000watt MH for veg and 1000watt HPS for bloom. will be equipping a 250watt low pressure for clones soon. i use dutchmaster nutes and switched to a bubble bucket system this time. previously using ebb n flow. the large one looks uglier the bigger it gets. but still healthy. obviously sativa. the smaller one is a confirmed female and looks great. indica or indica dominant. got 2 clones from bug ugly and six from the little girl. been in veg for 3 weeks 3 days. i top out at 8 or 900 at the end of veg and go from there to 1800 in bloom before flushing for 1 to 2 weeks. any feedback or tips would be great. thanks to everyone and IT'S GREAT TO BE BACK!

You should try a grow in coco coir, that stuff is awsome.

Srilankan coco is the best stuff.

i like to think i know what i'm doin lol. i hav been growin for about 8 years. just makin my way back into it after a year on hiatus. but yes i am an experienced grower and am lookin forward to teaching as well as learning as much as i can cram into this thick skull. i've never heard of coco coir. always jus stuck to rockwool and hydroton. i will definitely check it out. i'll post more updates as they mature and my outdoor is goin out in a few weeks here. thanks to everyone for the feedback.

[/FONT]CoCo Coir Peat is the 'coir fiber pith' or 'coir dust' produced as a bi-product when coconut husks are processed for the extraction of the long fibers from the husk. CoCo Coir Peat is the binding material that comes from the fiber fraction of the coconut husk.
A very Special Grade of coir dust is washed, screened and graded before being processed into various CoCo Coir Peat products for Horticultural and Agricultural applications.
CoCo Coir Peat is a multi-purpose soil conditioner and growing medium. It is consistent and uniform in texture. It is a completely homogenous material composed of millions of capillary micro-sponges, that absorb and hold up to eight times it's own weight in water. The natural pH of 5.7 to 6.5, plus an unusually high Cation Exchange Capacity - and 27% of Easily Available Water assures that coir will hold and release nutrients in solution over extended periods without rewatering.

Once you go Coco, it will make your buds go LOCO!!!

i hav heard of it actually. just never heard it called that. jus one question. what types of significant changes will i see if i go from rockwool to that?

Hey mate,

The significant changes you will see is Faster Plant growth, Higher yields, Your plants will develop larger roots, stems and blooms.

For maximum effect it should be used with a coco specific nutrient.

You will also see a significant reduction of root diseases, etc

Here they are. new pics. the big one is still a possible male. no preflower signs yet and moving in 4 or 5 days so dont want to waste time and supplies setting up a seperate bloom area. the little one looks great and needs to be moved into flower. already showing pistils at the nodes and shes a beaut. the clones off the little girl look great and the other 2 are soso but are showing roots after 6 days. allinall everythings going smoothly. jus wanna find out once and for all if this beast is a male or not.

makin the switch prolly on the last day of the month. thats wut day i change the reservoir so it'll b easy to change the nutes

The first two pics are of a root issue with with my little "Zombie" girl. Slightly green in just a few small spots. But logically i think it may spread. The second two are of big ugly who i believe may still be a male. The next two are of the fan leaves from the inside part of the plant near where i cut the top. thats the only place there seem to be these leaves and i believe it is due to the topping. 85 and 86 are of my little "Zombie" girl and she looks beautiful. 87 and 88 are the clones. the more yellowish ones are off the big one. all are already rooting. Otherwise going well. just changed reservoirs today and 31 will begin 12/12.
