hello everyone I'm new to the forum and this is my first grow. I apologize in advance for the low quality photo due to the HPS light. these are my plants I vegged them for 4 weeks in Fox Farm ocean forest with no added nutrients. they are on day 3 of flowering and one plant in particular the leaves are drying up and fall apart if I squeeze them. even the tips of some of the leaves are gone. I have all of my plants planted in 5 gallon tall buckets. I did add nutrients the first day of flowering. they are now under a 1000 watt HPS lights with a 8 inch 740 CFM fan cooling the light. I also have an 8 inch inline fan exhausting the tent which is a 4x4x7 temperatures aren't usually above 82 degrees but I have seen it spike as high as 86. any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Wow, where are you getting your information? This is absolutely wrong. Please cite sources or at least do some studying if you plan to give people advice. I don't mean to be rude, but you are being misleading.

maybe some do, but as a blanket statement, that's not true.
You'd never have herb in Hawaii, southern mexico, equatorial areas, etc.
Ideally yes, you are correct 72 is perfect, but they won't STOP growing at 84 degrees.

just be careful, there are some SERIOUS flame-Nazis on this site... they'll have a field day. Surprised you haven't gotten attacked yet.
shhhhh, just don't move, the flame-nazis' have motion-based sight, don't move and don't make a sound, they're like t-rexs.

thanks for all the advice though.I've got my fan on the highest setting so I'll turn it down some. I have my fan that cool the light vented straight out of window. I've also been running my air conditioning at 70 degrees so I'm not sure what else I can do to get my temps down.

I agree. And I also see no signs of heat stress in the pics. But the OP does needs to take some pics under normal lighting to get an accurate diagnoses.

also keep in mind that AC systems dry the air out considerably, which makes the plants transpire water more quickly, which also leads to possible windburn probs.

I will take some pictures under normal lighting this evening. I do notice a few leaves on a couple other plants in same room that are doing the same thing.
