Wow, that sounds like a good idea actually. Thanks!

Is it weird that I have to water like every 3 days? I do have constant air blowing lightly on the plants and the heat is around 78-81 degrees, which I know are two things that contribute to drying up the soil, but it just seems that I am watering every 2-3 days or so. The soil gets dry real quick!
If you try the squeegee trick with spray adhesive, make sure to spray the front (side facing you) with a soapy water solution to lubricate it so you don't chance ripping the mylar.

Switched to 12/12 a couple of days ago. Gonna keep this micro. Also added some 2700k CFLs for that red spectrum. Planning on taking clones first sign of female on any of these. :D

You should have taken clones before 12/12 otherwise you are gonna have trouble getting them to root since they will be trying to bud, not trying to rain on your parade but just saying "you pizza before you french fry you're gonna have a bad time" lol lil abstract but ya feel me?

I think the trick is to just do the shit as a joke.......
I did this with a couple branches I chopped from my last indoor CFL, and might just end up putting them out with my new seeds.:bigjoint:transplantedto2litermarch7_zpsec5f6d9c.jpg
Right now, they are about 3" taller, and look really fugly, but the smoke that came from the last plant.......... I'll waste a little effort and nutes on these.:bigjoint:
I'll try and remember to take pics on Sat, when I do my weekly update.

Ya as a lil experiment and to get better at cloning it won't be a bad idea just do not expect a high success rate or yield from it, guess it all matters on your motives if you are simply doing it for knowledge then don't let me stop ya.

I agree about the whole cfl, cost, etc. I've used cfl's with decent results. For a first time grower, going cheap is better till you learn what works and what doesn't. Get in there and get your hands dirty. What works for some doesn't apply to all because everyone has their skill levels and preferences. I have improved and upgraded as I have gone along with each grow and there IS benefits to using more costly methods; It doesn't pay to spend big $ if you only have 1-6 plants and no actual experience. With time will come experience, knowledge and a pattern (which I'm still learning). You'll also run into the "God I'm so brilliant" assholes on here for newbies a lot with attitudes about questions. Fuck 'em! They had to start somewhere and they asked stupid questions too. Just remind them of that and they're also on the newbie forum and that the "gifted dildos" forum is up their asses. Aside from that: No MG + more cfl's (2-4; K's don't matter. varying temps and more L's) + panda plastic (NO TINFOIL) + distilled water at room temp + lights no closer than 2" no farther than 4" away + plenty of air-flow + 3 gal. pot (larger root-ball = bigger yield) + 6-4-4 nutes on a every 3rd watering sched. + lights:16 on 8 off (veg.) = Hella Budz! Good luck Grasshopper!

As for the cloning, I don't even know if they are female yet! Lol. They are just bagseed, so I am still waiting on the first sign and then I will take clones. And yeah I am doing it mostly for knowledge on this first time. I mean, a bigger yield wouldn't hurt though...

Originally, I had just stuck them in a solo cup I had sitting there on the shelf, cause I had hacked them and was too lazy to take to garbage right then.
Then, a couple days later, when they were still green, I just started watering them, planning to wait and see if the popcorn nugs would grow any and turn amber, but after harvesting the plant, and finding the smoke was as good as it was, I just decided to reveg them, sacrificing the buds, and put out with my two new seedlings.

I bet they will be female those look like tops, flowers. When mine look like that they always turn out fem anyway.

Well....I know I have 1 guaranteed female and 2 possibles. Unfortunately my camera on my phone cannot take pictures of something that small, so I am going to have to wait it out a bit. I see little white hairs coming up on one of them in between the nodes there and I think the same for the two others. I actually noticed them yesterday and then today after 12 hours I noticed the hairs grew are more prominent than they were yesterday. I have a magnifying glass somewhere I'll have to dig it up. Might be able to take pics tomorrow for you guys! :D

Oh, and I am leaving on vacation in a little over 9 weeks from now. Considering I started flower 5 days ago, will I harvest before then or would I have to get a friend to do it while I'm gone? Guess I didn't plan this too well...

Depends how long you're going away for.
If only for a week or two, you might get lucky, and have your bagseed go 12+ weeks like mine did.
Remember I vegged mine for 30 days, and started flowering on Dec. and ended up with 85 days flower before I chopped, and even then probably could have gone another couple days with little or no detrimental effect if I had to.

Yeah I'll be gone for a week and 6 days I think, so pretty much 2 weeks. I'm going to London and Paris! :D

I've also read around and I see a lot of people saying that they could not tell the sex of their plants until a week or two weeks into flower, but I am on the 5th day of 12/12 and my plants are already showing signs. Could this mean that they will flower sooner? I really would like to be able to harvest in 7 weeks and not have to worry about them while I'm gone lol. I leave on June 15th.

It MIGHT, but if it did, I would guess your bagseed is heavy Indica.
Beware the hookers in Europe man, a buddy of mine once warned me of when he was a merchant marine, and he actually kicked a hooker out of bed when the covers flapped and he got a whiff of the pussy stench!:o
He said after that, he understood why the French women there sprayed so much perfume.:wall:
