Hey guys.I am very new to growing and it would be a big help if you can maybe recommend a good place to buy seeds from, also info on lights, soil and nutrients needed to start first grow. Also since its my first grow i would like to spend very little as possible, just until I start to learn more. would be a big help if you can just give me a couple of tips and answer some of my questions. thanks.

I would start in the FAQ, and reading through the newb section. I would read, learn and take time to prepare what method is best for you before you start buying things. Trying to be cheap can end up being a bigger waste of money then just spending the money upfront for the quality products you need. Nothing like spending a few hundred dollars and 4 months of time and ending up with swag and realizing you need to start over. Welcome to the forums and good luck.

If you want a first learning grow here's all you'll need:
CFL bulbs, 23 or 42 W, 2 per plant, in both 5500 and 2700 spectrum.
party cups
a couple 5 gallon pots
some top soil
some miracle grow tomato (he said he wanted to spend as little as possible before you all jump on me, the stuff is a good nute for a full run)
seeds: Nirvana Northern Lights Auto from either nirvana.nl or attitude seed bank.
a light timer
a decent fan

The lights you'll have to figure out how you're going to hang them or whatever. Nirvana NL Auto is the most hardy, easy to grow strain I've tried. It's not gonna give you a huge yield, but it'll give you experience and teach you a good deal about growing. Be careful to keep from over watering or over feeding. Those are the 2 biggest mistakes. You can water every 3 days and feed once a week and your plant will be happy. These seeds can stay on 18/6 light schedule their whole life, so it gives you more a chance to get a feel for what's going on before moving to the big boys. They'll finish in around 60-70 days as opposed to 120+ for the photos, which is why the smaller yield. Guy above is right, you don't wanna waste money, but most of the stuff I listed is low cost and can be incorporated into higher quality grow areas, or as in the case of the cfls used for seedlings if you end up going with mh or hps or any type of expensive lighting system later on.
