as always thx for the replies:)

Well I´m gonna skip the flush for this harvest but the next crop I will definately try flushing. I am seriously considering cutting the first couple buds within the next few days. I took some pictures of the buds I´m thinking of harvesting. (the pics are from the 11th)

So what you guys think of harvesting these?

I found I liked trimming my fan leaves as well as any sugar leaves that were poking out beyond the bud part.

I tried variations where I only trimmed the extended fan leaves and left the sugar leaves and a few of the fan leaves on but liked the above method better.

As far as flushing goes for me the "flooding" of the plant at harvest time is supposed to equal regular flushing. The post I linked actually states that common flushing closely approximates flooding in that a certain amount of run off is wanted to properly flush. Flooding the roots prior to chopping starts off the fermentation process within the plant leading to a quicker cure (in theory).

ok so thought I should stop in and give final numbers. :weed:
Not as much as I was hoping for but I got 584 grams. Close to 21 ounces.
I learnt a lot hands on that you just can't get from a book or google and enjoyed every step of the grow.
I'm going to take my time and plan out my grow area for practicality, accessibility and enjoyability.
Also plan on picking a few choice strains that will coincide with the effect I want most.
I got lucky with this mystery batch. All female, all sticky and deliscious.

Then im going to improve in the grow methods I used. I was happy with them but can use some tweaking. Like pump size, resevoir location, ventilation, odor control, lighting.
I found the cfl experience in veg. was less impressive than I expected and will go with a MH set up next. The hps was good but I had flakes of fiberglass on the glass in the cool tube that came from the insulated vent tubing and I don't think that helped. I also want to get a dual spec light... and so on and so on lol.

Well so I guess that's it.
Thanks to this site for helping me in 1000's of ways! I was able to read, read, read many threads with credible information and got feedback from active members.
Thanks to EC you jumped on early and followed and kept me motivated to keep posting updates. Also to all others who posted their support. KOTG you too lol.

So this noob got a pound and a half off his first attempt hehe

Been fun sharing with you.

Good work KS, was a lot of fun following your grow. I also learned quite a bit with my first grow under my belt. Lots of tweaks are going to be implemented in future grows.

Cheers mate!

PS - Pics of my current grow from clones.
