New to DWC

I would lead towards dwc an hydro in general because the plants grow faster in the early stages because you can pinpoint the exact nutes the plants utilize

depends ... dwc isnt as forgiving as soil when it comes to nutes .. and as with everything depends on experience too ...

Thank you for all the response. I have another question. I've seen a lot of guide showing how to setup a DWC system but I haven't found a guide on how to feed the nutes. Can someone explain to me how that can be done? Thank you!

Depends on what nutrients you have with the dwc setup you change the water every week then mix in the nutrients like I said what specific nutrients do you have?

you can either mix everything together at once or mix your nutes in each bucket. lets say you had (4) 5 gallon buckets, so 4 gallons of water in each, totalling to 16 gallons for all 4 buckets. now lets say your nutes sayto use 5 ml per gallon of grow, micro, and bloom for example. You would be adding 5ml x 16 gallons = 80 ml of each, now add to your distilled or R/O water, THEN pH down. then fill your buckets to your fill line. And tellno1, DWC is way more forgiving than soil because like any hydro setup at the first sight of nutrient burn you can flush and and reset your res with virtually no stress at all from the nute burn. DWC is more time consuming but with better results quicker

Lots of good info here. Read Read Read then Grow Grow Grow. Keep it simple at first. Good Luck and Welcome

take advice with a grain of salt :) everyone will tell you something different. Try a simple dwc like VO(minus organics lol) and mess around with a few bag seeds. Just do your homework/research before hand :) i read for a year n a half before germing a single seed ;) im no expert but I had a greaaaaat first grow (Wonderwoman by Nirvana in dwc section if you wanted to check it out). Youll notice dramatic successful leaps between your first and second grow. :)

Aydtxn: as you can see by the variety of responses you received there are a lot of variables to consider. Faller gave you the best advice, "Read, read, read." What do you know how to do? That would be a good place to start. Have you grown M/J in soil? Are you experienced in hydroponics? That's a whole different ball game. If you're an advance grower looking for maximum yield you might want to consider the potential of aeroponics. But before you start asking about yield you might want to consider what your capabilities and experience are. I've seen a lot of people try to start on page three when they haven't read pages one and two and they ended up with frustrated failure. Take a look at Cervantes and Rosenthal and SeeMoreBuds books first and that might save you a lot of heartache. HSA

experienced soil growers will outgrow new DWC growers. However, get some experience with DWC and watch what you can do.
