New to Colorado. What counties allow you to grow personal MMJ?

I recently moved to Colorado got My MMJ card, and I don't want to do anything wrong. So, I am wondering: Does anyone have a list of counties that it is either legal, or illegal to grow(More specifically the Denver/Arapaho/Douglas area or Denver Metroplex)?

The only county where it is legal is Adams County. Once you get your grow in place you need to call the North Metro Drug Task Force (specifically Jerry Peters) and inform them what you are doing.

Ok, have to say something. The above is total BS correct? As far as I know, if you have your state issued red card and are only growing the 6 plants (3 in flower) for yourself you are fine most anywhere in the state. And for sure you do not have to contact any Drug Task Force people to inform them what you are doing. Please somebody chime in and tell me i'm right!

personal grow = 6 plants, no need to register anything with anyone. it's your own personal and protected by the State Constitution. just be smart and keep the smells down in a residential area.
caregiver = supposed to register your grow, eventually will probably be inspected for health/safety (electrical issues will be the biggest for most people prolly)
MMC/Disp = must register and pass regular inspections/audits

if leasing/renting, make sure you check your tenant rules before signing .... a lot of them have language against growing in the house/apartment. if they find it, they can/will evict (seen it happen more than once). of course, it's not too hard to conceal a small grow. and since you can only have 3 in flowering at a time anyways, a small cabinet build might work good. I used to build em out of dressers and such aqcuired from garage sales, used the drawers as false fronts and had a nice big inside to fit out with equipt., add a small carbon filter and no-one would ever know ..... ;)

6 plants, 3 mature (producing bud), 3 immature (not producing bud), and 2 un-rooted cuttings. Don't believe it's illegal in Adams as 8,927 MMJ patients live there. You will run into counties capping the number of patients and plants you can ADD though. Here in Larimer you can't have more than 12 total plants in a residential zone, so 1 additional patient, supposed to cut down on grow houses. State of CO will allow you to add 5 patients though so 30 plant max, so you can see the conflict. Here's a couple links for additional info

As to wWhat counties allow you to grow personal MMJ, I just went to my small town's web site and there they had the town's regulations. They don't allow dispensaries. They don't allow a caregiver to grow. They DO allow the patient to grow their own on their own property. Interestingly enough, at the end of their regulations, they encourage you to compete and submit a form called: Medical Marijuana Use – Voluntary Self-Identification.

it's "allowed" because it is a Constitutional State right for patients - IMO, this is also why the Feds have left CO folks alone, yet pounce on every other MMJ state ..... we are the ONLY State that has Medical Marijuana laws written INTO the State Constitution, and that kind of battle opens up a whole can of shit for them. DO NOT fall for the BS 'voluntary self ID', unless you want to be in a database. as long as you have your Dr. recommendation or your Red Card (and sticking to your limits), you are A-OK.

Thanks for the help everyone. I didn't know it was a joke a first either. I went to the dispensary and asked the guy. He didn't know where it was specifically legal or not, but said that Adams county was bad. Some people even get Paraphernalia tickets there still. If anyone from Colorado wants to talk and maybe chill, I'm new here but got my card. So PM or something.

Baddog and flylikeaneagle,
This is why it wasn't a funny joke. People that don't know the laws could take the "joke" seriously and then actually call the drug task force and tell them they are growing...which would obviously suck. I appreciate a sense of humor but a forum about Colorado mmj laws is not really the place. Peace- :joint:

Yea well it was written so even a 12 year old would pick up on it, guess I overestimated a few peoples intelligence level.
Well 12 year olds aren't allowed here, soooo you might wanna aim for a bit older audience

I thought it was hilarious, maybe you're just wound a little to tight?
Maybe you're wound too loose as you're the only one who thought it was funny....
