New To Aero, how to plant?

Hello,
I am a newbie to Aero.

From what I know Aero uses no medium unlike other traditional Hydro and Soil.

How would I go about from Seedling to Mother then clones into Aero?

As there is no medium what shall I use?

Thats all for now.

for people to tell you how to grow from seed to mother to clones to aero they would have to write you a book :)

your medium is air, your nute solution is the spray .

learn how to get them both togerther to feed your roots and grow a beutifull cannabis plant :)

good luck

Lay it down for us who havent figured it out... Do some of you use the neoprene sleves and balance a seedling in there? Do you guys use like a rapidrooter and a clone machine with toothpicks holding it in place? Is there something else I have no idea?

I used trimmed peat moss stuffed in one of the used original seed pod holders. Went for a month and a half 18/6 and both girls exploded in size. I ended up translpanting into bubble buckets because the root were way to big for the one gallon container. Had to cut the roots to separate them. They bounced back better than ever and going strong in week 2 of flower.

Look in this forum.

Depends on what system your using. Homemade or store bought hydro system.

people use all different ways to grow in my experience and they all have good and bad things to say about each others techniques . but its the ones who have tried and failed which give bad views on others excellent methods:) then seek to find a method which suits them.

Its all about the way you like to grow then gives the best results.

Cheese please, no rapid rooters for germinating seeds... rapid rooters contain Auxins, which induce seed dormancy... Start your seeds without any hormones (don't even think of using Giberellic Acid or you'll get a bunch of hermies) and when they pop add some rapid rooters... High pressure aero isn't for starting seeds, it's for cloning, vegetating and flowering... If you really want to use it to start seeds, well put your seeds inside the root chamber in rockwool, but I wouldn't recommend it... start seeds elsewhere, wait till they have roots hanging and then put them in HPA...

I love aero, and probably would never go back to soil. I have run HPA and LPA but I like LPA much better cause there is less to fuck up. I started a thread about my LP aero/nft grow that I am having great success with. The link is in my signature. My current grow is a modified @StinkBud grow.

As for your questions.
1) I germ my seeds in a paper towel then once I get a 1/4" tap root I move them into rapid rooter plugs that have been cut vertically half way through (this makes removing the seedling way easier). As soon as a root is coming out I gently remove the seedling and put it in a neoprene collar. The seedling in collar goes straight into the veg unit so it can have food.

2) No need for mothers. I take my clones from my veg plants while I train them.

Hit me up if you have any qs or need any help.

I agree with Bob, no real gain to be made germing seeds in hpa or pretty much any hydro apart from coco. Talkng of coco, a thimble full will be enough to get a seed going, once its rooted out you can transplant the whole thing

Yes, though in commercial setups (bIG greenhouses for all kinds of plants), the germinating chambers often are some kind of HPA system... it's really not the same, but it does work great... keeping seeds in a 100% humid environment is the best way for them to germinate.
I don't see the point of having an HPA system only for germinating seeds in a small setup, nor in a midsized one... the true advantage of HPA is seen in root development... for germinating seeds it's only good because one can use the vertical space and not only the horizontal space as in a flood table (stacking multiple seed trays inside the HPA chamber), but come on, is your setup really that big that you want to optimize this? :dunce:

I dont use rockwool or any kind of rooter, when growing from seed, I will get a piece of square foam , punch a little hole in it and set the seedling in the hole, once it is big enough to place into the collar I will just break the foam apart and insert it, No harm to the plant and foam is cheap :) BB
