new starter! can u advise?

can u help,
hi im just starting to get together my first grow! ive ordered a secret jarmin dark tent (80x80x160). its only small. im torn between going for the 300w cfl or 400w hps light? im trying to do it as best i can with little money. i also need to take electric bill into concideration.
what can you advise me?

Is this intended to be an ebb and flow hydro set-up or soil based grow. Picture makes it hard to tell. I would always advise HPS over CFL, but I don't see you needing a 400 for just one plant as a 250 would be more than enough.

no 80cm, ive bought at 400w light now aswel as a rvk extractor, whats the best lining to get to help thermal imaging cameras not see? ive been looking as diamond mylar stuff. theres alot more to it then first thought. cheers

im going to use soil, is there a better soil to use or will normal garden centre stuff do?

I dont think it would be to hot in there if you have it properly cooled/ventilated. But if heat signs are a concern just insulate the room and put up a heat shield in between that

About soil just go with the good Miracle Grow potting soil, i normally do not have to feed until 2-3 weeks.
