I'm chiming in without reading the whole thread so if I'm covering something that's already been discussed....shame on me.

I watched the video of the time-lapse growth of what appears to be one or two plants. First off...beautiful plants...you should be proud.

And that's the rub for me....you had what.....three LED lights over 1-2 plants. I have no clue what you paid for those, but with that limited number of plants it'd take a long time to get a good return on investment.

I truly believe that LED's are going the be the future go-to lights for growing....but the price has to come down to something reasonable. I reflect back to the early '70's when I bought my first "hand-held" calculator for $78. It did addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division....and square roots if I remember right. It took 6 AA batteries and weighed about 1/2 a lb. Now a $20 calculator can do entire scientific calculations and is the size of a credit card.

That's how I see LED's. A 1000 watt (equivalent) fixture and bulb goes for what....$1,500 and covers a 5x5 area.....maybe? While my set-up is old school HID's I don't have more than $1K invested in covering 16 plants in an 8x8' area....and grow pretty nice plants myself. Yeah.....they spin my electric meter pretty good and I'm dealing with heat challenges, but my flower room's output per dollar invested still greatly exceeds LED's no matter how you do the math.
Think he used 2 HS1 in a square metre i may be wrong. The retail if you pay would be £800 or $1223.56.They are expensive but silent running.

Now I got it!
It was a review of Dutch Passion's Orange Special Hill and I have read it in a grow magazine called THCene. They called you Tang a friended grower of Dutch Passion and they told you have got a few seeds for testing before they released the O.H.S. to the market! The test was made under 2 MS0006 each with 2 Rebel modules and was created in 2014.

Hay bro thanks.

It's inevitable the prices will come down in the future and I imagine in 5 or 10 years the majority will grow with LED,I would even say most new starters are going the LED route now, that's how it appears on the boards anyway.
I paid £375 each for these and running 1 75w light for 20hrs a day (there on 12/12 now but as an average) will cost me around £60 a year to run so over the 50000 hours they are rated for before the start to dim I'm sure I would get my money back.

Hay man yeah that's me,not seen that article before so thanks. I remember last year at Spannabis seeing pictures of the OHS on the DP stand...I was well happy and my mates were well impressed lol.

Are you the same Tang from Auto Flower (dot) Net?
Yeah bro that's me,there was already a Tang here so I had to use my surname lol.

Well, then, that was you that got me banned on Auto Flower dot Net.

There was a debate about Blackstar using fake or real Cree. I specifically remember myself and 2 other members chiming in and showing some Cree data sheet and part numbers showing that Cree didn't at the time make most of the colors that Black Star claimed to use.

Then, I also remember asking you, Tang specifically, since you were the "main representative" of Grow Northern on Auto Flower, about the part # claimed to be used by Grow Northern at the time. It was a Epistar 660nm LED, that was in the rebranded Cidly Apollo lamp. It was claimed to be a 3w Epistar, but according to the part number, it was a 0.25w LED, I asked what was up with that, next thing I knew I was banned.

Instead of answering my questions, you had reported me, and ultimately got me banned.

Now you're here on RIU claiming to be getting 290 or 390 grams from either 75w or 150w of Grow Northern power.

I have been growing for more than 45 years. I know for a fact that there are no such lamps available that can do that. Even the most efficient DIY Cree CXB lamps cant do 290 grams from 75w.... 390 would be impossible.

Come on....

Well for a start I was just a moderator of the LED and GN sections not a representative,I'm not clued up that much on the technical stuff I mostly gave advice on how to grow under LED so I would have never even attempted to answer that question. if you got banned it would have been for a good reason, but I do remember a period when a good few were flaming out on GN and breaking rules doing so,maybe it was doing that period of low tolerance to negative comments.

I won't be mentioning my yields here anymore there just to controversial I will however be showing you pictures so you can make your own mind up,I should also have the Timelapse camera set up for the end of the grow,I will mount it above the lights.

Day 45 of 12/12.

I just love photographing these three especially the Night Queen, the resin just sparkles under the camera flash. BV1 and the Queen are gaining weigh nicely but BV2 is a little slow and has been since germination, she even took 5 days longer than the other Blue Velvet to get above ground, luckily she smells divine and has a good resin profile.
I just love the smell of the Blue Velvets and did last time I grew them,it's sweet sweet berries mixed with strong floral notes and is wicked strong, glad I got a new carbon filter for this grow lol.
This is my first time growing the Night Queen and her smell has me very excited,it's even more powerful than the BVs and just as sweet, not so much berries more sticky candy.....cannot wait to try these, both vaping the herb and dabbing the bubble hash.
Here's the girls today....

Blue Velvet 1, 85 days old.

Blue Velvet 2, 80 days old.

Night Queen, 75 days old.

Here's how the plants sit in the room.

BV1 added.

BV2 added.

Night Queen added.

But, you already got me banned at Auto Flower, and I guarantee you all I mentioned was parts numbers and I got banned the second you came into the picture.

You already claimed 390 grams from 75w, you can't undo that just by not mentioning it anymore.

I think you are a salesman and a shill.

Why are you the only one getting 15 grams per watt with these things?

390g dry from 2 lights so 150w, 37 days at 20/4 under 1 light then 63 days under the 2 lights at 20/4.

Hit the report button for spamming if you think I'm a salesman.

To be honest, I totally remember that. It was the same time that Autoflower was trying to get A51 to be a sponsor. That was 2013 or so, right?

Tang, you were always getting peeps banned for not conforming to Autoflower's ways.
There were and still are I believe strict rules around LED posts and flaming, for instance you need a completed grow thread before you can share links and yes I was a strick mod but was told to be by Admin.....not been a mod for over a year now and didn't really do it for that long, wasn't really me.

You can play dumb all you want, but it doesn't negate the fact that you were getting members banned daily for not using Grow Northern LEDs.

There is no fucking way you got 390 grams "dry" from "150w". It's just not possible.

They don't really ban people here. But you will get eaten alive by members that know better. This isn't Autoflower dude. Most know better here.

I still think Hans Panels are better than the Gn hs1.When the 80w Hans is next to the grow norhern it outplays the grow northern very easily and the Hans is around half the price too.

If people broke the rules they would have got banned, take it you have a grudge too lol. FYI I never had the power to ban that was a job for admin but if rules were broken I would have reported the post.

I get that I'm not welcome here by some.

And, for the record... When Autoflower was trying to get A51 to be a sponsor, I sat and watched more than 1 thread get locked and deleted over arguments with Tang, and some guy with "red" in his user name, over non-use of Grow Northern LEDs. Or any questioning of GN products. Threads were deleted and members were banned if you talked about the wrong thing.

There is no way you can get 390 grams from 150w. The numbers just don't add up. It just can't be done. The best of the best, with the best grower, with the best genetics, with the best growing conditions might be able to pull off 2.0gpw.

But there is no way you can get 390g from 150w, otherwise 2.6gpw. It can't be done. Nope.

Nope...

Sorry bro but it is possible,I'm sure more and more growers will be getting these results and better soon hopefully you too, by the way it was more than 2.6 as I only used 75w for the first 37 days lol.

Like I mentioned earlier there was definitely a period of low tolerance regarding LED rules on AFN but saying I got people banned because they started a thread with a different light is bullshit, there is a LED review section on AFN go take a look at the diversity.

Thing is Tang you are claiming 2.5gpw which some people can't do with gavitas or sodiums. To stop any confusions maybe do a sodium grow side by side say a 250w vs the 2x75w and then compare the 2.I for 1 would like to see that done. And before you go there i have been growing for a couple of decades, and use led at home for experimenting with.I can say the penetration between the led's i own the Grownorthern is the worse.Although i am still waiting for the next defuser to come.
Also go on the other well known forum which you said yesterday" i won't go there i will get eaten alive" others are there using the GNhs1 with no wild claims,so come over and spread your knowledge.
