The specified lumens at 120 volts AC is pretty poor, huh? I hope that tolerance is a lot more than + or - 5%! LOL

Fortunately as you are located in Europe, you'll be running on 240 volts AC I would guess.

Edit: Mars Hydro also mentions "Sunlike UV & IR" , but there is no mention of those wavelengths in the product specifications.

Could u explain what the low lumens at 120 volt means ?The ppf seems a bit exaggereted but with that diode count how can it not be a super light? Spread, efficiency and total ppf should still be crazy or is there something i dont know ?

Yeah i saw that about the uv, it and sent them an email about it. Dont really know their timezone but ill post it asap when i get it. Also asked when they are releasing in eu. They are using inventronics drivers, how are they compared to meanwells?

The 12,373 lumens @ 120 volts AC is a typographical error. Whether the 121,000 lumens plus figures are accurate I can't say for certain, but the total lumens output of the fixture will be much closer to the higher lumens figure across all compatible input voltages.

The error just shows that Mars Hydro wasn't very thorough in the editing process of that webpage (I've seen MH make these mistakes in the past).

The drivers that I own are Mean Well HLG so I have no personal experience with them.

I can say they look like a high quality product with a solid warranty and more programmability than most Mean Well drivers, if what you are getting is an authentic Inventronics driver.

Horticulture Lighting Group switched from Mean Well HLG drivers to Inventronics drivers on the HLG 550 and they use a 600 watt Inventronics driver for the HLG 650R. I've seen that Amit from Horticulture Lighting Group (@robincnn on this forum) has said that the Inventronics drivers have a much lower failure rate than the Mean Well drivers. The 480 and 600 watt Inventronics drivers are also slightly less expensive than their Mean Well counterparts.

These guys can't even seem to figure out what the efficiency rating of their own light is. In one ad it's 3.0 umol/j and in another it's 2.9 umol/j, as seen below. In reality it's prolly closer to 2.7 umol/j.

I really think that the term "Meanwell driver" is misused in this case. Not all Meanwell drivers are equal, and unfortunately Mars decided to use the less efficient ELGC driver series, likely to save costs. Not sure which is better, that driver or whichever Iventronics driver they used.

its always the same biz bs... they max profit by decreasing costs etc but call it publicly a quality increase etc

The diodes are the best? The diode count is higher than pretty much everyone shouldnt that make it really efficient? They have a great driver it seems. Its a bar light so the fixture will be able to be closer to the Canopy and have an even light distribution? Im not saying u guys are wrong but how is this light bad? What am i not seeing or are you just hating because of the previous mars lights? The price is good aswell? I know chinese lights are cheaper but in my case and probably alot of other peoples the total with shipping and taxes will make the chinese lights about the same price if not even more expensive. The meiju 650 bar light as an example would cost me more than this.

maybe not much wrong with the light, could have more bars.
while it seems to be nothing other chinese not offering allready for less money.

3144 samsung 301 leds at less then 10 cent each, probably they are more like 5 cent.
48 osram 3535 type reds, maybe 2 dollar each, prob less for them.
plus the driver and some cheap aluminium.

Wrong. 2 lights shipped to me were $1250usd and these are $1000 a pop
This is the lowest she went including shipping after days of bargaining i also sent her pictures of people buying 2x for 1250. It was probably your picture i sent her haha. Its been a week now and still no deal and she didnt go lower. So 800 plus 25 for card fees, plus 20 procent of total cost for import fees plus another 30 for taxes. With your deal i would have bought instantly but unfortunatly my country sucks outside the eu :(. I checked with 4 other Alibaba companys and pretty much the same :/32EDE663-8EB4-45CB-80F2-B16FB22A2D16.png

That looks substantially less expensive than the Mars light.

I Will ask her how much that would cost me altough the shipping isnt my biggest concern, the taxes is. I bought a meiju 480w qb a while ago and i had to pay 600 euro for it while 2x 260 hlg kits from spain was the same price . Euros is also worth more than usd.

Trust me ive been looking for a nice and ”cheap” 600w bar light for about a month now i tried ordering a lumatek 600w pro from diyleduk for about 940 eu but he sold his last the same day and wouldnt get restocked until september. I managed to find one that had a damaged box by mailing lumatek but that one would cost me 1150 euros instead... then i checked alibaba and it was way too much. I looked into full diy but it was way too complicated. We can get the gavita, fluence, hlg, the most famous ones and some sketchy european brands but all of them cost a fortune.

Now today i found the new mars light which is a really good price compared to the others and even though the ppf they stated was too much i figured it must be a pretty bad ass light anyway but you guys made me think that maybe its not.

Mars light 950 usd 3144 diodes, fluence 2i 1900 eu dno how many diodes and probably cheaper somewhere in eu but still way too much, gavita 1700e for 1700 GBP with 3300 diodes, the hlg 650 1100 GBP preorder and it has like 2600 diodes? The slim 600 from optic is about 1200 euro i think. Someone Please explain why the new mars isnt as good as i thought i would appreciate a good answer alot!
