Hi I have 2 small plants, Wappa and they go nice thus far, small but nice about 6-8 inches high.A few sets of leaves. Gonna leave em some longer and I simply put em in good compost, some organic feed from the 1$ shop and they seem irie.;-)

They are out in the day inside in the evening in pots. first time I ever done this. When I am ready to flower them I do not have any sophisticated stuff lights and all that stuff. I am not even too bothered if it is weak cause I am used to the brown herb with seed in round my parts 'i.e. mongs you out sends you to sleep 4pct THC herb' so I just want to stick a big cardboard box over the top 12/12, also with the '12/12' what is light the first number or second? I see 14/10 as well is that 14 hours dark 10 light? Thanks for helping this some what basic and unsophisticated grow.

Is 12/12 optimal to start them to flower ior is there a better ratio.

This might be naive but will 2 plants smell much? |Could you smell them within 6 foot for example? They only really smell when I go to the leaves really, nice flavour but you dont smell that if you stand above them.

you should hope they smell like rotten mangoes dipped in cheese and rolled in a dead skunk.........................

039614352-ting_2.jpgHi bruv here we are, it's good yeah for compost from the shop round the corner. I only spent about $10.00 on the soil, pots and organic feed. Hope it works.

I respect you guys for going the hole hog with all the gear tenst and what not but I have not got the dolars for that so i hope I am a lightweight anyway so this would probably already get me high, ha ha.

you forgot the perlite. VERY important. re-mix with perlite and transplant, imo. perlite not only improves drainage, but improves retention too. sounds opposite, but its not. it drains down to an IDEAL moisture level for cannabis, while the perlite traps water and nutes. trust me.

12/12 refers to 12 hours light and 12 hours dark. The first number is hours of light a plant is given.
24/0 means 24 hours of light.

I've grown, re-grown and cloned the Wappa from Paradise. I liked it so much I bought their Nebula and Acid
from them also and have them 2 in paper towels now. The Wappa will smell pretty good after 4 weeks or so flowering.
But the smell isn't enough to be a threat, imo.

12/12 is the best way to flower pot. Your light schedule should try to mimic Mother Nature. Plants need long hours of light to grow,
just like long summer days. When the plant sees the lights go to 12/12 that tells the plant fall (and harvest) is coming and it is time
for he plant to flower.

A box set over a large plant will work if you can find a big enough box. Other problem is that you have to be there, on time, twice
a day to place and remove the box.

Thanks for tips and advice. Yes the box is a manual job. hhmmm. Perlite, ok will think it through might traumatize the plant as they were only repotted 4 days ago into these ones.

if you put a large cardboard box over the plats to keep them dark . how will you get air to the plants ?
If you put holes in the box , it will not be light tight.

I imagined there would be a little bit of air coming in underneath ?
Open to sugestions man a complete inexperienced peson here just learning as I go : )

Thanks herb bredren bongsmilie a few other questions....

1)I thought a little bit of air would come under the box ? I did not realize it has to be pitch black, I mean as dusk draws in it is not pitch black immediately is it ? Does it 100pct need to be total dark immediately for the dark duration?

2)When I decide to try and flower I understand I need to change any feeds from a Nitrogen dominant one to something that flowers like i.e. more potassiuam and phosphouros based. What is a good typical ratio of the basic 3 nutes Nitrogen, Phospouros, Potassium for the flowering stage?

I used high quality (but not herb specific) compost and it seems successful so far. I bought a decent quality one, not the cheapest stuff I could (it has peat in it). I am not going too crazy with feeding or over watering (i.e. letting pot get fairly dried out before watering times and growth is slow but sure and no curly leafs up or down thus far.

I have worked in some perlite now into the new soil around the old 'caked' soil from the old pot so hopefully this will assist the retention of nutrients and moisture.
