New Law Requires Students To Learn How To Handle Being Pulled Over By Police

Students need to learn that driving is a privilege not a right, that's why you have to take a test & pass to get your license. also they need to be reminded that they have agreed to police consent when they signed for their license. These rules apply to everyone. these kids that think they don't have to identify themselves when pulled over are stupid & put themselves & the police at risk unnecessarily. More education is a good thing.

Whoaaaa you guys actually pull over?

I dono these men and women put thier lives on the line to protect and serve. I've been beaten by police, but I would have done the same in thier shoes. As long as your not a threat with your hands where they can see them and not being an asshole a stop shouldn't escalate to anything more. The laws are really to protect ourselves from ourselves, I'd hate to have to in force them daily.

There's a not so fine line between an officer's job and the extremes we've been seeing them go to on video, over and over again.

I'm absolutely not advocating resistance or gratuitous disrespect, but that respect must go both ways.

After all, If your rights don't count when you really need them, then you don't really have any.

My boyfriend and I got pulled over for speeding in the middle of nowheresville Kansas on a road trip cross country.
Three cop cars came to the scene. We complied. They were rude, racist and intimidating.
One came over to the passenger side where I was sitting and noticed I had an Iron Maiden emblem on my dash and asked me if I was into Heavy Metal with a sarcastic tone like it was very offensive to him. He said the car smelled like marijuana and we never smoked it in the car or had any on us. . They made us empty all our belongings out of the pick up truck to search it and made us put $125 dollars in cash in an envelope. they had us follow them to the post box to drop it in while they watched or they were going to take us in.
We did everything they said in the middle of nowhere Kansas and we flet we were lucky we had the cash or who knows what would have happened. How is a class going to help in a situation like this?
Maybe there should be cameras installed in every new car so when pulled over its mandatory to hit the video to capture the pigs in action..yeah thats the ticket.
