Hello everyone. I am brand new to these forums but I have come on a mission. I wrote this before I saw that folks had already posted on this subject so please bear with me here. I need your help. Yesterday, 2/23, the N.J. State Senate passed the Compassionate Use of Medical Marijuana Act. This is only the first step as it still needs to be passed by the Assembly but that is why I am here and that is where any N.J. residents out there come in to play.

Please contact your Assemblyman or woman at http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/ and urge them to vote for this Bill. Every one of these Assembly persons is up for re-election this year so NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT. The Governor has already said that he will sign this Bill into Law if it makes it to his desk. We cannot afford to waste this opportunity.

And you don’t have to be from N.J. to join in this battle. Please take a couple of minutes to write to the State Senators and Assemblymen in your state. These are the people who write your state’s laws. If enough registered voters speak up they will have no choice but to listen.

I believe that many states have stayed away from this subject due the views of our Federal Gov’t. California Medical Marijuana facilities have been repeatedly raided by the Feds since their Law passed. However there is a new Sheriff in D.C. and that attitude has CHANGED.

Our new President has publicly stated that he will tell the Feds to stand down and cease their raids of Medical Marijuana facilities in states that have legalized them. The President of the United States is actually on our side on this. NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT.

Do your part and contact your legislators. There is POWER in NUMBERS people. Stand up and let your VOICE BE HEARD. I can smell a wave of Marijuana liberalization that will sweep across the country…and it smells like SKUNK #1. Thanks for your support. Sorry for the underlining, I'm a hack.

Senate Approves Medical Marijuana; Make Sure The Assembly Does The Same!
Support A804!
NORML would like to thank those of you who contacted your state Senators and urged them to support Senate Bill 119, the New Jersey Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act.

Thanks in part to your support the New Jersey Senate approved SB 119 on Monday, February 23, by a vote of 22-16. This vote marks a major victory for patients and advocates in New Jersey.

But this battle is only half over. Members of the New Jersey Assembly must also vote on this issue. Please take a moment today to contact your members of the state assembly and urge them to support the Assembly's companion bill, A804.

Please help us make New Jersey the fourteenth state to legalize the medical use of cannabis. For your convenience, a prewritten letter will be sent to your elected officials when you enter your zip code below.

Thank you for supporting NORML's marijuana law reform efforts in New Jersey.

For more information about this campaign, please contact the Coalition for Medical Marijuana - New Jersey or NORML New Jersey.
