New Indoor Grower: My Setup Ok?

What's goin on everyone!? Ok here's what I have so far, feel free to offer advice, suggestions, etc. I'm ALL EARS!

24" wide x 18" deep x 34" tall Ventilated Veg cabinet(homemade)

Aluminum Foil Completely on inside(not wrinkled)

Exhaust fan in top of Cabinet with pantyhose used for filter for air in\out.

Air inlet for clean air entry to bottom of Cabinet with filter on hole.

Homeade Light Reflector(like a shop light dome made of shiny metal), over 4 - 100w equiv.(23w actual), Daylight 5000k(1550 lumens)bulbs in 2 V-splitters.(How close do I put to my plants?)(Do I need more bulbs for 4 plants?)

4 unknown strain bagseeds(out of a super light green/yellow bud, super dense) That are 3 days in on germ, ready for soil!

Soil: Natures Care Premium Organic potting mix: N-0.18%, P-0.10%, K-0.12%, has blood meal peat moss, forest products, yucca, coir, and organic fertilizer. (Is this sufficient?)

I have 4 plastic cups around 32oz. A piece, (twice the six of solo cup) for seeds to root in first(ok?)

Do I need to put anything over the soil until they sprout?

If you see something I missed, please help! Thanks, I'm loving Rollitup! Yall rock!

Yea 2 max but personally I'd only do one. Train her a bit and let her fill out that space, but yea you could do 2. Also, just personal preference, I'd get a 6500k and a 2700k bulb. That way you get both a warm and cool spectrum.

Oh &using CFLs you want them as close as you can to the plants without burning them or stressing them. Put your hand in between the light and the plant, hold it there for awhile and see if there is any discomfort. Generally with CFLs you can get them pretty close though.

How bout 2 5000k and 2 2700k? All I have to work with until about a week or so. Or I have 4 5000k bulbs, which would be better for now?

hes only working with 3sq ft of floor space its not completely ridiculous for him to attempt four...

one square foot per plant with one gallon of potting seems to be the minimum acceptable specs for any worthwhile grow on this forum.
I grow in a similar space with more head room, and im telling you unless you heavily train or have tiny stunted plants thats too many plants for that space.Specially with the amount of availiable light.

sounds good lil compact but u said ur moving on up soon so that will be good like stated before get rid of the tin...like i read somewhere on here

white copy paper reflects more light and doesn't retain heat....so get some white paint i got skil's primer paint for mold barrier on my ghetto cabinet build [18x18x48] and it works perfect

and by exhaust fan .may i ask if its a computer fan a tabletop fan or like an actual ducting exhaust fan?

and ur cups when if u haven't planted the seeds already make sure to put the pointy end down and the more round end with a volcano crater like hole on the end up and put plastic cover

over the cups...make sure keep in warm spot but not to hot and watch for water droplets on the plastic and u should be good to go u dont really need light just warmth and moister soon as they pop

then give em the light....have u done any test runs see how warm ur temps are without anything inside it? hope i helpd some also u dont need that big of a cup yet but not a big deal rock on keep us posted

Miketaco: it's a 5 inch 120v60w Raider fan, out of a little space heater, its straight tho I'm gonna put some ducting on it and run the exhaust outside..its pretty strong though!

And, I got rid of the tin, my box is already reflective bright white inside.

should do fine then just need to test run it some see how ur temps are took me a lil while but i finally got my ghetto box dialed in on temp control and i still use it till this day why? cause it works and everything on it looks jankie or just crap compare to all my equip i bought online...but it works just as good just that its a big heavy box that not as easy to move around as the tents are but still it works just fine for what u need to do

Thanks, I'll check temps tomorrow. I got busy today and didn't have time. But I will post back and keep yall updated.

These four plants could turn out to be 3 males and one female, who knows?! That would definitely free up some space. But like I said, I'm going to try to either add on to my little cabinet to make it taller, or just build a whole new enclosure after the plants fill up my current space.

I will put the seeds in dirt tomorrow, any other advice as far as that goes? Thanks everyone!

see good call on ur ratio of female outcome so time will tell on that far as seeds

A: u can get a paper towel moist it and place ur beans in it fold it put in zip lock bag and place somewhere warm dont let em get cold or to hot 85 degrees is ideal temp look out for water droplets on sides of the bag and ull know ur ok....wait for few days till they pop and u see some roots put in dirt if nice size..if not just wait one more day

B: put in dirt place seed point end down and volcano hole end upwards so it will help push its way up n out...if u put dirt in a cup put a plastic cover over the cup and keep warm n light and look for water droplets on the plastic and ur doing good ...this may take alot longer

C:theirs plenty of others who claim drop in water for 12-24h then poke em and see if they sink or haven't already sank then repeat A:

good luck u got this bro

Ok, got everything together and letting'my box run with the fan on constantly. Plants are in dirt, under domes, and under light.

The soil i bought was decent, should I water them now, or wait for the seeds to catch root and sprout?

Thanks
