NEW Herbalaire H2.1 Full Review

Well, I finally went out and got some turkey bags...holy crap they are huge and take forever to vape! But I like them. I also got some of the smaller oven bags (the Large size) and they are pretty good as well, especially if you only want a little.

I've also been playing with the temp, and found 375 to be about perfect for the bags, but way too hot for the whip. Whip hits at that temp have tended to taste like burnt popcorn and are a little too smokey, but they taste great at 350. Recently though, I've been bagging it much more frequently.

Also, I made some knockout butter using fan leaves, stems, and spent dregs from the HerbalAire...absolutely fantastic wonderfulness...

I've got a couple questions about the hash oil pictured in your last post. 1) Where exactly does it come from...you said the main stem piece, is that the little white thing with the screen in it? I've cleaned out some gunk from the mouthpieces that I thought was just resin (like from a pipe, not THC resin) so I can tell it builds up in there. But the bigger question is 2) How the hell do you extract it like in your picture?

yes it's the buildup in the vape stem.

I extract it by tipping it over as the pump is pumping, then it literally lets the stuff flow out.

the buildup in the herbalaire is WAY the fuck better than resin, this shit is easily the same quality as butane hash oil. arguably better because there was no solvent used to extract this oil.

It does form in the white straw like piece, and it will rise and fall as you turn on and off your vape....we try to let that build up a bit, and then you can just turn on your vape, and let it blow hot air through it, and that oil blob will fall right out.

Myself and poplars both discovered this by accident, when noticing a dark spot rising from the vape heading towards the bag....it was creppy and gross at first, but then once I saw how amazing this shit looked.......oh jesus...its amazing :D

Holy shit, did all that come from one cleaning? How long do you go between cleanings to get that much? I got a very small amount yesterday...only enough to really top one bowl pack...but Poplars you have a TON of oil there!

They look nice though!

that was from multiple collections, I'd say that's about 5 collections of oil in that pic above. I used about 8 collections of oil for the pills

I took these at 12:47 and it's 5:09 and i'm still high as fuck...

Review: Got my herbalaire two days ago. After putting it together in haste i filled my first couple bags with a very tiny amount of herbs. This was my first time vaping so I didn't know what to expect. My local shop explained to me that it would me like smoking for the first time and that you didn't need much. I was mislead to believe he meant small draws instead of less herb. I ended up going light on both and didn't get high. I thought i had been ripped off.

My wife tried it later that evening when i was falling asleep and got blazed out of her mind and kept me up. She was inhaling like a bong hit and did two bags. My mistake was not taking in like normal. A small amount of herb goes a long way in terms of bags, but u must smoke those bags to get ripped. Once I figured it out I knew my money was well invested.

The unit itself is very east to use. I don't burn the herb. Starting out with 2-4 bags at 330 and moving up to 350, 375, 400 for a bag a piece. The later bags don't hit as hard but I only fill about half full for a personal session.

I love the design, having never vapid before it is very intuitive. Loading and inserting the crucible feels like siding a shotgun shell into the barrel, smooth and satisfying. Trun it on and then it blazes you out of your mind.

My only complaint was the unit was dirty when I opened the package. It didn't help my first impression that it was a piece of junk. But alas it was much to do about nothing and after 2 sessions I am a pro and I'm very much enjoying this new piece in my collection.

On a side note dt mt dew tastes terrific right now.

yep this thing is badass. I'm filling a bag as I type this.

safe to say it hasn't broke or dissapointed me in any way in over a month (and possibly a half? ) of use. it's pretty much made me focus on the effects of the bud over flavor. because no bud necessarily tastes /bad/ out of the vape unless it's contaminated, there are buds that taste amazing of course and flavor every hit, but i don't have much demand for this kind of bud as it doesn't get you as high as the bud that doesn't have as impressive of a smell in my experience. so essentially I focus on effect over flavor because there are some buds that don't look or smell that great that'll get you high as fuck . . . and this is what I believe vaporizers like the herbalaire is going to truly show people.

First off, congratulations! Im glad your loving your herbalaire :D

Let me ask, are you talking about some random scuffs or minor scratches in the teflon? If so, that really didnt bother me at all, since I own a few other teflon peices and they are the same way ;)

Either way, give the turkey bags a shot, and fill one huge monster bag at 375 and sit back for the next 5-10 minutes and blaze the bag to yourself...you will lose your mind :D

Damn right son! I <3 mountain dew

Congrats Lynx, once you get the hang of it you will love it even more. And you're right, there is a certain satisfaction you get from sliding a full crucible into the chamber.

HfB, I'm sold on the turkey bag @ 375 degrees. It's the only way I do it now.

I agree completely man. I have seen the volcano bags used, but I still think they are crap compared to the turkey bags. Yeah they turkey bags will eventually leak, but man, that crinkling noise from the volcano bags is about as annoying as the bags they include with the herbalaire.

I think im going to fire up my vape later tonight....I dont get to use it as much as I would like oh well bongsmilie

The crinkling noise is pretty unbearable. I actually had a couple stock bags start leaking within a day or two of use. I've been on the same turkey bag for a couple weeks now and it's still going strong.

Sorry you can't vape as much as you'd like, but at least you keep your tolerance down!

yeah turkey bags are legit. they get dirty after so long . . . like a month of straight use.

I've also noticed that some bags have bad seams on the turkey bags and some don't. I happened to have got lucky with the latest turkey bag as there are absolutely no leaks :) no matter how shitty I treat it, crumbling it up to store it, or to push the vapor into my lungsss ahahaha

gotta love vaping.

but I do like the volcano bags just for taking fat rips, because you can twist up the end of it much easier because of the smaller diameter, I have a 2.3 foot volcano bag that's pretty fun every now and then. but the crinkling noise gets SO annoying.

I wish it were by choice man, but its getting to expensive to afford my meds anymore, its fucking bullshit.

No worries, enjoy those turkey bags man. I will post up pictures in a few weeks of how to create your own setup to pull your vapor through a water filtration stage before inhaling it. I have done it before, and it just makes everything just a bit smoother :D

I think poplars did something like it a while back...

yeah I built something like that but it was sketchy as fuck . . . . .

the vapir has this water tool thing that could be useful . . . . but shit if I could rig up anything similar that would be cool. last thing I made was with a gatoraid bottle, hella bulky and lame.

I hear you about it being too expensive...even cultivating your own is an expensive and time consuming process (albeit infinitely rewarding).

I've been thinking about various methods of running the vapor through my little bong...it would be pretty easy to just run the whip through the female stem piece and suck from the top of the bong, but I can't quite figure how I would fill a bag without getting too ghetto...

if you can grow outside it's definitely not too expensive . . . .

indoors is much more expensive, but if you have a good job it's still not too expensive.

outdoor growers seriously make a killing on everyone. they only spend about 75-100 dollars in nutes, 50 in soil (possibly more), and maybe 100 dollars in strains if they even decide to pay that much, often times people get hooked up.

I"m in no way educating anyone on how to grow cannabis cheaply, I'm just simply stating that it's possible to do it without it being of any major personal expense at all . . . (only saying this for legal reasons.)
