When you harvest do you kill the whole plant and just start over with new seeds or does it grow back?

Usually when you harvest the whole plant is harvested. There are some folks that take the buds and put the plant back into veg state for another go round. This involves a lot of time as it takes several weeks to un-confuse the plant and start vegging again. Making hash is done after harvest and curing and is another complete process after the fact.
