New grower, I need advice

The reason people do one or the other is because they use two very different light schedules to flower.
Autos flower best using 18-20 hrs
Photos 6-12hrs.
Personally i have tried a few autoflowers but after the crappy yield vs amount of hydro with longer flowering times just not worth it imo.
I think photos are better suited for outdoor where theres a chance you could run two cycles in one season.
I very much get that, I can't run photos in the summer because of the heat in my tent so I run autos... Fall rolls around I run photos... I just think there are too many inflexible people on this forum when it comes to what they grow...

Photos require less hrs than autos so why would u ever run autos if heat is an issue?

my tent gets hot in the summer so i can't close its door due to the heat, but I can use it with the door open which is terrible for light leaks which fuck up my photo plants. So I run autos and put them outside during the day in the sun when it's hot and bring them inside the tent with the door open at night. Don't use any extra electricity and my autos get near 24 hours of light without overwhelming heat.... My grow area is honestly so small that when running photos my veg time is so short I don't yield any better than an auto run anyway so I think I'll be making the switch to autos most of the time. And I don't care for overwhelming potency anyway so I'm good with what my autos produce. I also live where I'm a medical patient and have a grower who provides me with everything I need free of charge so growing is purely a hobby for me

Well it's been a long ride, had some ph probs and had to harvest a lil early so I didn't lose the plants, but lesson learned. Hope the smoke comes out great, been drying two days now!!

Nice! I'm just about ready to chop those northern lights... Another week or 2 I think... I still have one going out side but it was and still is kind of runty...pic doesn't give good scale but the big cola on the left plant is about as big around as my forearm... Didn't get as tall as I had hoped but I think they'll yield pretty good. Very dense and frosty

Damn man that's going to be some really good smoke right there. I should have some dried and cured pics in a few weeks. I'm working on a scrog grow right now, I'll have some pics once I sex these regs. Had 7 and found a male today so down to six so far.
