I put 7 seeds to germinate in a cup of water, they all sunk to the bottom but only 4 have sprouted little roots. What do I do about the other 3? will they still grow? Ive had them in there for about 3 days.

I soak my seeds for 24 hours then plant whether or not the root has popped. 3 days is too long.

With seeds in water for 3 days probably have drowned them, when all the seeds have sunk it means they are alive, soak for a max of 24 hours, after 24 h the ones that don't have shoots should still be fine, plant up your sprouted seeds, the others place in damp not soaking paper towels and put somewhere nice and warm. That should so the job. For the seeds you left for 3 days, don't be disappointed if nothing happens, but it might, if youhave aanymore questions please just adl and I will do my best to help

I really don't want to be rude but how can you help dead seeds? And to grow properly you need to be technical or the technicalitys will bite you in the aas.

I brag about nothing, I'm no expert and I wasn't trying to overwrite you. You are giving advice with either not reading what the grower said or not knowing what you are talking about. You are giving advice, so you must know what you are talking about, if you know what you are talking about then you would know seeds soaked for 3 days are going to be drowned. If you know the grower has drowned seeds you would know there is no way to bring them back!! And I can't grow legally because I am in the UK, from everything you have said the way you said it and the reply I got I would say the answer is you don't know what you are talking about and didn't like the fact someone pointed it out, every one on this site who is a serious grower that wants to help others always admits when they are wrong... Maybe you should moove onto grass city. That's where everyone like you hangs out ;-)

Lot of good replies at first bro, but one thing I can say is 3 days MAY have been too long.
The longest I leave mine soaking is dau and half, but that, then I go straight into the solo cup, and along with keeping my temps (until they sprout) up between 85-90, I have almost 95% germ rate, even when I do some of the old bagseed I've been hoarding for more than 15 years.

thanks for the tip. I have another question. They sprouted already but one of them has brown on one of the tips of its leaf and looks like its shribbling up, do you have any idea whats wrong with it?

A lot of times, what might appear to be a shriveled leaf tip is just part of the shell dried up and stuck to the leaf tip.
Then again, you didn't mention what kind of soil you're in, so it might actually BE a bit burnt from hot soil. ("HOT" meaning lots of pre added nutes, not temp.)
Several times, with my bad eyes, I thought the same, but when I got a mag glass out, I could see it was just part of the shell.
IF this is the case, you can mist them every hour or so (more often won't hurt), then after a few hours try to gently use tweezers or toothpicks to pull the softened shell off..........
But if you don't want to do that, just leave it alone, and it will eventually fall off on it's own.
