I am going to model my grow after Al B Fuct how-to...

here are a few pics of the room...Studded, then lined with 4 mil plastic, drywalled, taped, and painted flat white.

I am working on assembling the tables and installing my fan. I started with 10 seeds, B-52 from Nirvana. I germinated half last week and the other this week. I lost one after germination, it was very weak. I have read Jorge Cervatntes cover to cover twice and Al's threads in the Hydro section. I have my seeds in rockwool cubes and keeping them at about 30 g with 5.5-5.8 pH water, no nutes right now. My tap water is 122 PPM. I did have a period where the pH went up to 6.4 for a few days and didn't check, I have been more consciencious about that now.

Two week in and I think I am having some troubles, I noticed the edges of the leaves curling up and now they are brown. Do you think this is bulb burn or not enough water? See pics...

I asked about this in the hydro section and the responses seem to agree that this is a result of heat stress. I was thinking that the cubes felt too warm, so this helps confirm my suspicions and I shut off the heat matt.

Thanks, I have so much stuff to post, but not much time to do it. Feel free to ask any questions and offer advice if you feel I am doing somehting wrong or could do something better.

So 3 days ago, I removed the heat matt as the root zone's temps were soaring and my babies were getting cooked. I got the temps down and the root growth exploded over the past 2 days.

I also changed from 5.6 pH tap water to the following solution:

-tap water (120 ppm)
-15 ml/L 3% H2O2 (horticultural grade H2O2 is no longer available in my area, so you have to go with drug store variety)
- 3/4 the recommended nutes for seedlings (300 ppm recommended, I used 220ppm)
-adjusted pH to 5.6

The grow light they are under right now is a 120W gro bulb. They seem to be stretching a bit right now. I am anxious to put them in hydroton and in the trable under my t-5s but I am waiting for more roots to pop. I think my heat ordeal set me back about a week. So I will give them on more week as I am now 2 weeks from germination.

I am very happy with the way the seedlings are growing and rooting now. I increased the moisture content in the RW cubes to 35-40 g and it seems to be working nicely. I also changed the tray the cubes were sitting on to a white plastic tray and removed the heat mat...temp are right at 76-78 deg and seedlings are rooting well. I will probably put them into the hydroton this weekend.

I installed the 600 W HPS and Lumatek Ballast as well as the duct work. I will take some pictures and share with you guys shortly. Thanks for coming for the ride!

I have installed my 2 x 4 table and t-5 vegg lights (4 bulb 2x4 t-5 54W w/ 6500K tubes) I also hung my 600W HPS, ballast, and ductwork. I kept the ballast inside he room because my setup has very cool temps and I don't foresee it being a problem. If it it, I will relocate it. I plan on running my 6" fan 24/7, it will be wired to a fan control and thermostat in parrallel, so when the t-stat isn't running the fan at full power, I will have it running at 40% so air is contstantly moving.

One thing I noticed is hat I need to rework my outlets. The timers don't work with the quads so I am going to split the outlets up into individual duplex outlets spaced to accommodate the timers and cords.

This needs some reworking...

I am also having a problem with my GFI on circuit #1. For some reason it trips from time to time when devices go off/on, and I am definitely under the rated load...might be a bad GFI. I am going to switch it out.

This TDS mieter is a POS....I have had a bunch of problems with it. Yesterday it stopped workin, it wouldn't come on. Then it came on but the readings were all whacked. Finally I tried it again an the readings made a little more sense, but I am not confident in it anymore....I took readins on the nute soup when I set up the table 2 days ago. I had 120 PPM tap water and added 500 PPM nutes. Now the tds reads I have 700ppm nutes in the solution after 2 days of running????

Here are my healthy plants....they were started from seed 3 weeks ago. B-52 from Nirvana. I had a little heat mat issue that cooked the roots a bit and set me back about a week.

I went with a larger res fro this table than I hd originally. My nute soup was set at day 1 at the following:

PH - 5.4
120 ppm tap water
500 ppm Flora Nova nutes
13 ml/L H2O2 (3% H202) - I need to find some hort grade 50% H2O2

Day 2 my TDS was messed up..

PPM ????
PH-5.6 adjusted to 5.2

Day 3

Nutes were 700 PPM (is this my messed up TDS?)
PH - 5.3

So this is where I am at today...I very much appreciate good advice from others, I am more than open to suggestions and constructive criticism. Thanks!

PS - Do I look alright for 3 weeks from germination? The stems look a bit stretched because of the initial lighting, I hope they sprawl out now!
