The general consensus seems to be hit 12/12 when your plants about a third of the size you want. For example, if you want your plant to be 36 inches tall, wait for her to be about 9 - 12 inches tall then hit 12/12 lighting schedule.

Do some more research, this stuff's readily available in plenty of threads (hell I just read the same info on a hydro thread), although I do not want to discourage you from posting questions friend, good luck with your grow :)

dam!, k well i dunno i think ima keep it at 24 cus so far its doing great. its got its "tongue leaves" then a set of leaves and its starting to grow another set of leaves

you will undoubtedly find the "do what works for you," as you go along. There's no hard and fast rules on most things, but there are some better ways to do stuff than others, however I am enjoying the learning.

yes mate it may be growing new sets of leaves ........but you stil need to put it on 18/6 cycle so its getting its chance to sleep ,will help your roots develope quicker i vthink....defo no expert just successfully on the last week of completing my first grow so its just common sense iv learnt along the way mate... hope this helps lad!

it all helps,. but im not sure if tht be a good idea cus my lil buddys been on for 24 hours for 7 days now so i wouldnt want it to be like WTF if it randomly got changed from 18/6 also im gonna have a fan running on it cause i read tht it helps the stems thicken, is tht true? and for 1 plant is 1 cfl bulb hanging 2 inches above it and a 4 foot cfl tube good enough to grow it?

im sure the few hours light difference wont make a difference im sure you will be safe enough, it will just help your roots form quicker and better....more root more fruit they say!!!!!! and i suppose the fan running 24/7 giving them a light breeze will act as the wind when there growing outside naturally...i believe it will thicken the stem! i got told to (coco grow) mound the coco up tight round the stem at the bottom of the plant to thicken the stem up and to be fair the stems are really thick and strong! its all about research tho mate, id rather read and read and read books about it than take advice of 1000 diff people lol and as for the cfls i havent got clue but im sure you can be even a inch closer so maybe 1 inch away ?

i always read. ive read alot of threads and guides and such but never had peoples advice ahah. and also im low budget. and how much should i expect to get out of one plant. and is norther lights/juicy fruit a decent bud

The fan will strengthen the stem. We don't know enough about your CFLs to help, we need to know the wattage, lumens and spectrum. This is good for CFLs, https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/107992-tutorial-growing-cfls.html.

As for yield, its there is so many factors affecting its hard to tell. Some say a minimum of .5g for every watt of light, 1g is a good for a start, remember this is very rough though. Still depends on root growth, level of co2, nutes, strain etc etc.

Cfl's can get hot, hot enough to burn (learned the hard way) keep them about 3" at closest IMO. Also with the timing question you could slowly cut back over a few days. Day one 23/1 day two 22/2 and so on. As was said before trial and error is the best way to learn but allot of trial and error is already posted, never hurts to read anyway. Enjoy, it's a hell of a hobby! They grow up so fast!
