Finally got the grow box built Thursday. Here are some picks and details. If your thinking about building one this is a easy one to build!!!
Started out with some 1/2"poplar ply wood I had hanging around. Cut 3 sheets into 24"x48" for the sides and back and 24"x25" for top and bottom.
I then used 2 50cfm fans for intake and out venting. 13.00 each at HD. cut the hole at the top and bottom side just above the ponics cube.
Next I went cheap and used foil to line the box ( I know should have used Mylar but tried to keep this as cheap as poss).
Then I built the door got a little fancy and dont have the exatact measurements but you get the jist.
last but not least I hung the lights with some chain. ( going to build my flower lighting but thats another thread ) for Veg Im using 2 cf 65x2 6500/10000k bulbs for a total of 130w.
Placed my hydro box in and hooked up the ducks for the fans and away we go. total cost for this project 2.58 due to having everything already on hand.
cost to buy the items used
vent fans 13.00x2=26.00 homedepot
plywood 1/2" 4'x8' x3 16.00ea = 48.00
venting accessories 25.00
foil 2.58
hinges 2 pack 3.29
Chain .85 ft
Thats all there is too it took 2 hrs with a nailgun and table saw. If you dont have these the a hammer or screws work and HD will cut the wood to the size you need. hope this helps anyone thinking of building a box!!!
