went for a walk today and a house had this plant growing on top of its bordering fence. it only had 2 flowers in bloom but lots and lots of buds so im guessing its more of a late summer/fall flower. ive never seen a flower like it it looks kinda trippy to me, any info would be cool. im in northern italy if that helps. you can see what the buds look like before bloom behind the flower on the top left...

Looks kinda like Blue Passion Flower, here is an outfit that has seed for it {and a few others} http://www.banana-tree.com/Product/PASSIFLORA-caerula--------Blue-Passion-flower-SKU8160-688.htm

Smkeymcpot.... Passion Fruit.... as the name suggests, tastes pretty fucking awesome. Its not too un-common in juice blends, likely Snoop Dog had some in the Gin & Juice he was sippin on. If you ever see one ina grocery store, they run about $2 each for a fruit about the size of a plum.

Yeah man they grow pretty quick too-- makes for good cover. Last season I grew some on the lattice below my deck and it covered an area of 12' X 15', and then began growing up onto the railings on the deck. It got to where I was pruning it every week, but fantastic flowers. Good luck bud.

awesome i need some good cover out there, its a 4x18. do they return in the next season?
It froze in winter, it died, and then came back the next season. Some are considered perennials, while other are annuals--- depends on the strain and severity of your winters. The strain that I grew wasn't supposed to come back after winter, but it did which was kind of weird. Of course I also had tomato plants that oddly came back after winter too. I live in an area where it gets to 100+ in the summers, so our winters are cold with an occasional freeze but it is not as bad as the northern U.S.-- maybe that had something to do with it. The only issue I had was that some of the wildlife like to eat it. My wife and I had a lot of deer that ate as much of it as they could reach.. We ended up with a completely eaten and bare strip of the vine, which was anything lower than the 6' along the lattice that the deer could reach!

Still it's a beautiful vine, with flowers that are one of a kind. Good luck with your grow, and I hope you can post some pics when they flower. Cheers bud.
