Hello all I've finally manned up and bought some t5s and 400w hps online and I'd like you to look and see if those lights are any good. Hopefully they are they were the cheapest I could get sent to Canada and I'm on a small budget so this isn't an extravagant grow.

I'd like to know what else I really really need to do a soil grow now that I have my lights. I'm growing in a 2 feet wide and about 7 -8 feet tall closet.
I plan to divide the closet in half, not sure how and make a veg and flowering room but I don't have any ideas because it's all dry wall.

3 foot http://www.progressive-growth.com/proddetail.php?prod=7078
default stuff on there selected http://www.progressive-growth.com/proddetail.php?prod=4008
Suggestions seriously needed. thanks :)

Unless your growing all the time, just use the same room and switch out the lights when its flower time.

If you are on a budget you will need to use your tap water. So get some pond water clarifier to remove the bad stuff and adjust water ph to 6.2-6.8. You need good soil, I like FoxFarms Ocean Forest. You also need SugarDaddy or Sweet plus Magical or Calmag to add to nutes after 3 weeks veg to help prevent deficencys. Dont overwater thats the biggest problem new growers have. Wait till pots feel light before re-watering. Pick strains that grow tall instead of wide because of your space limits. The t-5s can be placed close to the top of the plants and so can a 400w, so half your closet can be clones on the top third and veg on the lower two thirds so you can statr flower with taller plants and flower on the other half. You can attatch wood stips to the drywall with toggles or mollys then cut a piece of patical board to fit between the two. Off white flat paint is better then foil. Foil is bad and creates hot spots that burn leaves. Hope that helps. Good Luck with your grow! Peace Out!

Awesome thanks, other than that what should I use to seal the room for light, a tarp of some sort?

sorry I'd also like to know what nutrients I should get if I'm on a budget growing with just regular department store organic soil.
