New Blue Diesel by Breeders Choice

Don't make these often but she is worth a write up. I grew NBD, called celesite on the farm, I don't know why but name all my strains by a namebongsmilie. I bought the seeds when they first came out, don't remember but had them sitting around for awhile, but they all sprouted and did lovely. Easier growing, all 3 of my phenos, disease resistance is good. Growing outside, with supplimental inside light she was a bug magnet :finger:. I think strickly indoor grow she would be a great plant to grow.

Pheno 1: Very heavy diesel smell almost overpowering some mornings toward the end of flower. This pheno stayed green throughout the grow, with its leaves staying green right up until cut time. I lost very few fan leaves off any of this one and grew it for 4 cycles. The buds are a little fluffy but still full and of good size with many budsites on the plant. Slow to flower at the best I could do was 11 weeks for all cloudy trics, just a few scattered ambers.
The smoke when first dried is hard on the throat, very hot and dry. When cured she is a velvety diesel that at first hangs at the top of the throat and then quickly fills the lungs. She will expand nicely in lungs and with every little cough or choke the taste of diesel comes back up the throat and sits in your mouth. Upon exhale and after the initial little rush between the eyes and temples your mouth is left with a nice little aftertaste which is a sweet diesel. There is no sweetness in the smoke but it does leave one for awhile when finished smoking. Good daytime smoke, uplifting, great for working in the yard and plants.
It wasn't a keeper plant for me, a chemo patient I grow for enjoyed it for mild pain relief and appetite.

Pheno 2: Diesel smell with a hint of sweet berry, very sticky. Not a big smeller but will fill up a room in a hurry. Nice looking buds, still not very dense but the largest of the 3 phenos. Easy easy grower, drinks lots of water, takes nutes in stride. Same as 1 though the bugs loved her. My favorite of the 3 for smoke. She is combo uplift and lets go do something, but if you don't move then you are doomed to staring out the window snacking on something. Cured she is smooth with an edge in the back of the throat. Mostly diesel taste, with some berry on exhale. You can taste her for several minutes after you finish smoking her, like a nice glass of wine. The high will hit you after the second toke usually and creeps into stoned after a pipe full.
Pheno 3; The purple nice plant with berry smell and hint of diesel. This is the pheno I was looking for when I bought the seeds :finger:. I was disappointed bigtime, small buds, smoke is acceptable daytime. Do you have a mooch that is always wanting you to get them high? This is what you give them. Taste was flat with berry exhale. The high is ok nothing special or really worth talking about.
Overall rating - worthwhile, not a keeper by any means but I did breed her and will grow out the seeds in a year or so. Two out of the 3 though are worth cloning for awhile but many better available.

Awesome write up man! I'm running 9 of them right now. Here's a pic they're around 6 weeks into flower growing outdoors, they are bug magnets and they sure do drink up a lot of water

You will like it, I hope that you get all the phenos also. The one that smells like diesel is heaviest of the highs and the the green one that is semi sweet with diesel is the best overall daytime high. Enjoy and keep us updated please.

This worries me as I thought everything from Sannies and especially the Breeders Choice stuff was top gear. I got Chocolate Rain, and Indica and Sativa mix beans. I'm hoping for good stuff from Sannies gear.

I wouldn't worry too much Tardis mate, as what you've chosen there is sure to please you imo. The 3 sattys in the mix pack are supposed to be Sannies best work all together in 1 handy pack, I can vouch for Killing Fields too, I'm tokin on a :joint: of it atm fella and it's deffo amonst one the best sativas I've ever smoked :eyesmoke: It's for sure in the same league as Jack Herer for that true connoisseur quality high/taste.
Choc Rain I have in my seed stash as I'm still waiting for space to grow it out here at mine, but I have heard good things about it from loads of people around the boards.
I'm still yet to see a bad review about Choc Rain too tbh

I've noticed two pheno's i have a 6 that are tall and 3 that are short, all 9 kinda smell the same, I’d say the semi sweet smell that you’re describing. Out of 10 seeds 9 were female I’m thinking they’re about 3~4 week from finishing, so maybe I’ll be able to pick up the different smells once later into the flowering process. I also have 10 seeds of Sannies NYCD; I’ve heard only good things about the NYCD

BTW what freebee sees did you get from Sannies? I got the Killing Kush, I’ll be staring those in a few weeks along with some Train wreck crosses I received from a friend.

Here's the 6 tall BD this pic was taken when they were about 4~5 weeks into flower.

You're doing a better job than I did on them. Looks really good and looks just like what I call the green pheno.
Tardis you don't need to worry it is topself strain, just not my strain. LOL, I have 3 phenos of Lady Cane going, 2 of my own crosses, Sannie Jack, Herijuana and just took 12 more clones. With me it is a matter of space and I am looking for that perfect fitting high, so unless it fits in my breeding program or it is exceptional, it goes to a later cycle.
I do plan on using this strain in some breeding, so please do not take my post wrong. Well worth the grow, especially indoors, nice selection of pheno's which knowing the lineage of the strain we should have in each run. I am looking forward to growing out the seeds I produced this cycle, the schedule looks like about March she will go back into the cycle.

Man....Im so sorry to hear this. Ive got 2 NBD and one NYCD X Kolossus almost ready to flower and I thought the NBD was supposed to be KILLER!

I got mine from sannie's....

damn. Im really bummed now.

GREAT detailed report, tho.

Did you TOP or LST? Decent yeild?

Damn....damn....the folks at Open Grow RAVE about NBD. Maybe.....there are more phenos and some are killer?

I was seriously counting on killer weed.

man am I bummed. One thing for sure, the NYCD X K is much bigger, like about twice as big as the NBD. Maybe she'll be The One.

Still, thanks for a great report.

You guys just cuz 1 person said it wasn't the best weed he ever smoked doesn't mean you should worry or think it won't be good.

Ppl are different, they grow different, and get high different and like different things.

That is exactly right.......this is a good strain, nice highs and I will grow this out again with the seeds I produced. I can't say enough good things about Sannie and his crew, they have great genetics. All I am saying is this wasn't a strain I would or will keep in clone, not my type of everyday high. I have many friends that love this stuff and always wanting an extra bud to take with them.
LOL this is why I don't do many smoke reports, the type of high you like I my not and vice versa. Good plant, grow indoors because the bugs do like her outside and enjoy watching a pretty plant grow.
