New Beginnings for Massachussetts and I

I think I need to contact dcf. I went out of town for 8 days and left the kids with a caregiver. Well this morning was the first time I got to see them and they look neglected. Even though I specifically said to remove the humidity covers from the seedlings cups the day after I left, they were still on. Seedling are alive but struggling. Crap.

Also two of the older kids showed signs of under watering. Hopefully it is just the first signs and nothing will die off on me. But I didn't need stress going into flower; now I have to wait a few more days for recovery.

I'm a bad parent. Hopefully they won't take the kids away.

I do, but not for the plants. ;)

Instructions were written down and texted as a reminder.

Oh well, good life lesson. I'm not upset, just looking for them to learn and get better.

The big girls bounced right back. In 2 hours they were perky and happy again. I did lose a few lower leaves but I was going to trim down there anyway ( that sounds different than I meant it). It was kind of impressive how fast they responded to the watering. It may have happened in one day, so I'll discuss it but not going to ding him for it.

Seedlings are hanging in there but it may be another couple of days to see if their leaves are damaged or just look
worse than they are. I will ding him for not taking the plastic domes off.

The clone didn't make it, but that wasn't his fault. Not a big deal. It was just a test to see if it would make it anyway. I'll take some more tomorrow and treat them right.

Will probably flip to flower saturday when I have time to put in the scrog net, if they are happy.

As for the necaan, maybe that can be a meetup point for people who are going anyway?

Well, I finally decided to figure out what was going on with my plants.
Pulled one out of it's pot to check the roots and the soil and guess what ... it was bone dry AND needed to be repotted. I guess it's been so busy building a fantastic system of hair sized feeder roots that it decided not to give away the surprise by getting too tall.

Same for all 5 of them. They're now in their new 3 gal homes with a 2:1 Stonigton Blend to Happy Frog mix. Gave them all a good drink of ph'd RO water and we'll see what they look like later today.

Hello all! Just finished reading all 64 pages...took a couple days lol. Just wanted to check in from Athol. Learned a lot here already and still soaking it up.Here's a couple pics of my set up. Still a ways to go but I'm so happy cause I just got 2 600 watt vivosuns in the mail today. Here they are. Just need to set up my other flood tray and put up the Mylar.

Welcome to the thread Stebbins. I'm sure those plants are going to love the HPS/MH. Hope you don't have more than one of those on right now. No way those plants need that much light yet . Ouch to your electric bill if you do. I just got the bill for my 1000w.

I think I'm gonna pull the trigger and go QB for the next grow. Only question is do I go with 2 boards or 3 for a 3x3?

No right now I only have one 600 running and it's set on 400watts right now. I was worried about light burn. Was thinking I'll turn it up to 600watts in a week or so. I won't fire up the second 600 till 12/12. That sound about right? I also just switched my nutrients from fox farm to GH Flora so I'm hoping no shock from the change there as well!

3x3 is a tough shape for Quantums. I've got 2 lengthwise in my 2x4 veg and they give pretty even coverage set up as
6" - QB - 12" - QB - 6"

You'd probably have to go with 4 of them with tighter spacing for even coverage
I see what you mean, but 4 would be an insane photon event. It's a reflective tent, so if I go with no lenses it should get to the edges ok and not wate a lot of light. I may have to raise them a little higher.

I'd have the same issues with cob's though. I'd probably need 5 of those.
