What is the difference between the camp 420 firehouse and farmers market events?
The differance...

CAMP 420 is a group of Pot activists

WeGrow is a franchise from out of the State with many locations in the US. Sell MMJ growing equipment (120% markup).

Both are great events. To say one is better than the other... I would pick camp 420 but they are both good.

Not hard to understand... Money.

Camp420 has hosted market with wegrow in the past and likely wegrow decided huhh I am going to start our own farmers market. And now there are 2 different markets. None in the north phx area yet which surprises me since last I looked Paradise Valley has the most card holders in the State... Maybe a market will come to North phx area.. I can't wait til there are too many farmer markets(not possible) - things are moving in the right direction!!!

I honestly never knew that about WeGrow, their store looks so horrible it looks worse than most mom/pops places.

Thomas and 48th street is pretty close to paradise valley , it's really not that far away, they are probably shooting for a central valley location when they choosing places off of Thomas

Clones should be 10.00-15.00

Unless its a clone only hybrid like Girl Scout cookies or something rare they should always be 10-15

I could see the 1% having a lot of the cards. They are middle aged (45) successful and even self made. Many of them have legitimate health issues.

The balance of the membership is highly intelligent if not educated, 20 somethings that are gladly growing for their dad's friends for equitable trade. God bless Ayn Rand (irony), capitalism, and God Bless America.

Why is there a difference exactly? Rain is in it for profit, she is an "activist" for the past year or so, but she did this all because she knew she would be starting these events and she makes money doing it. The WeGrow is a business and they just use their business. Thier markup is 120% I don't find their prices to be that out of line with what other Hydro stores charge to be honest BUT, I still don't care for their shop.

That being said, there is no real difference in the two markets nor the 2 people running them. It's not like either one is donating all proceeds to Cancer Patients.

If you have ever sat at the business table with Dar Mahn you would never want to remotely deal with Wegrow.
That guy shows up to late to his appointments, his cronies always make up excuses to justify his mistakes to transfer blame and he comes into a room full of investors, who are looking to franchise, with his shirt unbuttoned to his naval. I have no personal experience with the Phx store owner for those reasons. They also seem to draw unwanted police presence, i.e. growing some plants inside their location unlicensed.
420 people might be in it for profit but I don't think they attempt to hide the fact.
Everyone's time is worth something, the question is how much.
The only gripe I have heard about the camp is that they will say the market is full and magically a vendor cancellation occurs but now it costs more than originally stated. Understandable I guess, but raising the price on vendors solely for an extra $25 profit is kind of weak and potentially could leave vacant tables which is more of a loss.

My question is: Which market typically has a better med selection overall?

Thats easy. VFW because I'm there. :bigjoint: I hope on bringing 6-8 strains next time. *I also agree on having a market in the North Phoenix area. Especially because of how many people have cards in the CHAA zones up here.

Maybe you didn't understand...

The only difference is in the host... (camp 420 & wegrow)

The markets are the same. Great folks.

And I would like to add.... Camp420 is more of a grass roots organization where wegrow is a straight corporation. That is the difference between McDonalds & Lucky Boyz

Again. One is a Retail biz and one is a Biz making money by promoting events. I wouldn't consider either one a "corporation" per se' in the sense you're implying it.

Camp420 is a not for profit community organization driven by the goal of furthering the medical and recreational Uses of marijuana and changung the prohibition against it.
Wegrow is a national corporation headed by Dar Mahn and they are driven by the goal of making money for thier investors.

By definition camp420 keeps patients and law reform as their main priority and focus when making decisions and planning events and Wegrow's man priority is making as much money as possible for investors with no regard to anything else. I support what both do in the end with their markets but I will not support the other endeavors of wegrow By supporting their table. I do support most of what camp420 does because of where their motives are so i support their market so they have capital to do the other things which help the community or are trying to. This is a case where i can be a idealist and a realist.

Wegrow has been trying to expand into every borderline established medical state in order to capitalize on the new market, corporation...
Run by a guy who doesn't pay company taxes or his employees. (Check it out..)
How much money does one think Camp 420 makes at a market? I assume they have to contribute to the space, security and electricity used.
