New 600w owner!

I just got my 600w, crazy brighter, I'm so excited! 400w buds weren't making me happy.

Do you think adding CO2, along with going from 400 to 600w would double my yield?

And is a 600w ANY hotter than a 400w?!? It only raised my tent temp like 3degrees... I'm thinking I could have handled a 1000w?

Wouldn't the heat output be directly proportional to the wattage? So a 600 would be 50% hotter than a 400?
You would think, but no. MH and HPS run most efficiently at particular wattages, for most bulbs this is at 600/750w (HPS/MH respectively). Efficiency is just a way of saying how much light compared to heat it produces, so a 600w lamp will produce less heat per watt than a 400 or a 1kW.

Interesting! So how would you decide whether going from a 400 to 600 would be worth it? That's an article I would like to read: How to determine the point of diminishing returns for application of light in terms of yield. If I get 8 oz with 400, I need 12 oz to make 600 worth it.

How much would my temps change if I went from the cooltube to a blockbuster? I could handle 2-3F but 6-7F would suck...

Is it just me or does everyone else just keep upgrading one thing after another?!? really addicting, and SO much fun.
