Just put your hand under the cool tube or cool hood what ever u guys use and if your hands don't burn move it a bit down until it gets lil worm on your hands keep it at that level keep on eye on it cause plants still grows and u don't want to burn your buds it works fine for me and it all depends on the air that's entering the cooltube/hood if it's cool it keeps the bulbs cold and u can have it closer then having room temperature blowing through the lights that's why a lot of people use a window and they use a booster 400cfm blowing fresh air From The window passing trough the light and out the window and it works fine for me and for my homies and the good this about it hope this helps u guys
