sounds like the price of weed may go up here in nevada. guess we need to start letting small home growers to sell to dispensaries to fill the gap

Yeah that'll happen when you live in a fucking desert. This is what happens when naive govts try to make a quick buck off selling dope but haven't got a clue as to how to go about it, mainly cuz they're geeks, as all politicians are, greedy geeks.

I live in the high desert in northern Nevada. growing cannabis up here is a little more challenging but not impossible. the problem with supply in Nevada is that liquor suppliers want to control the supply of pot making themselves middle men between growers and dispensaries . currently they are using the courts to muck things up. I grow my own medicine legally here and I'm meeting with another grower who lives up here tomorrow. it is not of problem with supply. it's a problem with another unrelated industry wanting a piece of the pie.once again a large industry is trying to screw small businessmen and consumers

Disagree. Seems the barleycorn boys didn't want much to do with pot at all. Who was responsible for/behind the flawed distribution plan in the referendum? Wasn't it added to the proposed ordinance language late? What's the plan going to be for a tourist to smoke? Drive the highway with the windows down? Will the shops pretty much go dry?

Just face the fact that voting to legalize was the stupidest thing ever done by US citizens. To decriminalize, yeah, but legalize? WTF is the predictable outcome of that? That's right, REAL growers getting screwed over by faceless corporations. It's not real legalization anyway, it's simply making laws that are MORE harsh to real growers, to protect the faceless corps from any real competition. You morons let this happen to you, the weed industry being taken over by jackasses in suits. Give yourselves a big pat on the back for that genius move.

Haha, you see REAL cured weed as undesirable? Bet you don't even wash your weed. One thing's for sure, I like the lack of competition so please everybody never start really curing your weed. I like the competition to be green, harsh and have a big piece of stalk in the middle, which is pretty much everybody but me. Your laziness is an advantage to me. I don't pay suckers to clean my weed, I do it my fucking self so it's done right.

Oh btw, Trippy, I have developed my curing methodology further since I posted about it before. Now it doesn't go brown, just gets a lighter color, not green but kind of beige/red. The pistils don't even brown out now, stay nice and orange. Sorry but I can't fill you in on the procedure, proprietary secret, you know. Let's just say, nobody will ever figure it out themselves. Took me a lot of messing around to get to this point of curing perfection, and I ain't giving it away free.

with 217 steps in the process, and everyones hand in the pot, who can be surprised?

I bought a gram at a shop there in July... Came pre-packaged, in a custom nitrogen filled sealed zip container, pre-weighed, with a printout attached to the package describing every stage of its life. From what grower grew it, what nutes were used, when, where, test results, you name it, anything that can cost more, they did.

Over a quarter of their potential profits are lost just to stupid packaging, and distribution processes. Now add that no one can grow at home to supplement?

Just more stupid people thinking they need to make weed 'safe' and in the end, merely wasting money.

we have tiers here, and time of use. the tier is based on the average usage of the homes around you. I find this most unfair, because the larger more expensive homes use more power and payless. once you go over the tiers you become a "super user" and its ..and I shit you got 78 cents a KWH. tier 2 is 47 cents and if you stay under your average which is about 17 KWH a day!!! its 21 cents.

how can anyone live on 17 KWH's a day. every light in my house is LED 6-8watts my TV is 72wattts. I am starving power wise. my bills are like 800 bucks a month. I'm only running 1300watts for garden use.

my brother in WA, runs 8 1200 DE HPS and plays $350... @ 7.5 cents a KWH with no tiers.

I'm soO sick of SoCal if it wasn't for the people, who I owe so much I would leave right away.

my plan is to move back to WA.

A geyser eats hectic amounts of power. One of the things I will be upgrading to a more economical unit after this grow.

that is not exactly true. if there are no retail outlets withing 25 miles of where you live you can grow 6 plants for yourself and 6 plants for someone else. if you are a MMJ patient and can't get the strain you use at a dispensary withing 25 miles of your home you can grow 12 plants for personal use. you can give up to an ounce to anyone over 18 and 2 1/2 ounces to an MMJ patient. you just can't sell it. in this state just about anyone can get an MMJ card.you just need to find a canna doctor to sign the paperwork. where I live I pay 9.6 cents per KWH of electricity.can't believe some people are paying up to 10 times that amount. does the power company provide a jar of Vaseline with that bill :):):)

The only reason they are running out of weed is the sweet heart deals they made with the liquor distributors in the state. You cannot ship marijuana from farm to dispensary without involving a liquor distributor to transport it for you. That costs a bunch as you can imagine a monopolized distribution system would. Of course, the only reason they made that deal was to quell any opposition from the liquor distributors in NV. So its not so much that the weed is flying of the shelves, although I am sure it is, its that they don't have the throughput to transport product from source to sale.

is there enough quality growers out here handling the demand> i plan on moving back there to set up something to supply the demands . do you need to be so many miles away from a dispensary to legally cultivate.?
