Neptune's Harvest and Cal-Mag

I'm doing my first outdoor grow this year (well, except for the one plant I grew on my terrace 10 years ago). The soil is Happy Frog, amended with local compost and worm castings. I'm using Neptune's Harvest fish fertilizer because I've seen it recommended here a lot, and also Cal-Mag. Can you mix the two in the same water, or should I do them separately? If separately, how do I keep from overwatering? Thank you!

Do you even need the calmag? Happy Frog has a good amount of calcium in it already from the oyster shell and dolomite lime. Earthworm castings also have a good amount of calcium. Too much calcium won't hurt the plant itself but can impede the uptake of other nutrients like potassium.

If you are going to use calmag you would probably want to add it to your water first and then dilute the Neptune and mix it in.

When I had some calcium deficiencies going on. I'd mix it with my 1x every 2 week watering with Neptune's and no problems. Mixed 1tbsp Neptune's and 1/4tsp calmag per gal.
