There's a non-organic option that I've ingested on vegetables for 40++ years without problems that I'm aware of, that I've often wondered about. Anybody ever used liquid Sevin?

I have used neem up to 2 weeks before harvest without ANY neem taste. I have neemed 3 days before harvest with a neem taste. I have also neemed 3 days before harvest and rinsed it off successfully with h2o2 water.

Neem/3in1/azamax IF NEEDED (and stress the word needed) and in that order of severity, and if ur in the last 2 weeks or so of flower, ya just ride it, plain water @ good pressure if needed to remove pests....

Instead of using neem oil, consider using neem cake which is the left over mush after the oil has been squeezed out of it. That is not only a great fertilizer but it also protects your roots from bugs if you use it properly and sparingly. You can buy neem cake online through ebay. It's about $10 US - $23 US but if it's outside of the USA, the shipping is something like $50 bucks! But it's a 5 pound bag. They say that if you don't over due it, it will boost your production by up to a third. Read up on neem cake. Plenty of articles on google about it. I just ordered some myself and will try it next season.

Sevin is chemical poison

I definitely wouldn't spray it on flowers! o_o
