Just sprayed Neem Oil on plants that are in week 5 of budding cycle. Does anyone have similar experience ? I plan on getting a No Pest strip tomorrow and putting the plants in the shower for a bath.

I just purchased neem oil today for fungus gnats. I did not dip the plants in the neem oil, I used 1oz neem oil to 1 gal water and sprayed plants and the top soil..... I am hoping this works....
my plants are very young.... about 1 week old. the soil I got I believe had the gnats in them as the soil was VERY damp with water/.

did you ever have problems with pests before your budding cycle?

put a layer of sand on top of soil so they will stop the larve from becoming adults and adults from laying eggs on soil. you can also use neem to water the plant to keep larve from eating roots till they die.

I find the best thing to do is get some granulated neem. sprinkle some ontop of your soil and work in before the next watering. next time you re pot mix a spoon full in and that shoukd work, fungas gnats are not that big of a problem just a pain in the ass. granulated neem has trace elements too that are good for the plant.

Things I am contemplating...

No Pest Strip
Dragon Juice (wtf?)
5ml of neem per litre of tepid water, few drops non perfumed dish liquid to emulsify......shake before and during use..spray under and over leaves , stems, pots, earth and surrounding area.....do 3 times at 5 day intervals...at lights off is best as to much heat will dry out oil and suffocate plant..
