Hey guys new to the forum. Just needing some quick advice. I'm building a grow tent for a 12 plant cycle. 3 plants on cycle Rotation. Should I put a partition wall to sperate my veg state chamber from my flowering chamber and another wall between the flower chamber and harvest chamber? All jokes welcomed. Be warned I do joke back. Thanks guys stryka

As long as no light or humidity from veg side is leaking into flower side shouldn't hurt anything.. I like my dry chamber about 65° and rh around 50%, veg at 73-75° rh about 55- 60% and flower 75-78° 50%rh with that being said I couldn't have all 3 in one "tent" bc of different-ish environment set points. But that's just me. The way you wanna set it up is possible, but you might wanna change it up later on down the road.. my .02

Thanks for the idea. Ill have to definitely have to take in the idea of the rh and relative room temp in all chanbers. Any suggestions as to how big of chambers im going to need.. I was going to make the flower and dry 48×48×62 long veg can be smaller for a better lighting spread over the seedlings. Any idea of a size?

It all depends on how many and what size plants you're planning on growing really, and what size/type of light(s).You said 48x48x62 long, for flower and dry. 5'2" length, 4' width, 4'tall??

If I were you I would buy a 10 x 10 tent for $279. Then put a 4x4 tent inside it. $59.

$338.

Simple easy right and saves a lot of time

I'd considered something like this. Too much work just to get going imo. You're talking 3 environments. 2 light schedules. Fans, filters, worry of light leaks, blah, blah, etc. lol. Multiple tents would be a different story, I don't have the space.

I was in a hurry so I went simple. Auto flower. Get a tent that can hold say 9-12 plants at different stages. Start 3 beans. In a month, pop 3 more. Rinse, repeat. After about 3 months you'll be harvesting 3 plants every 4-6 weeks. 1 space, 1 environment, 1 light schedule/leaks don't matter. Drying would be you're only concern. I use the paper bag method usually.

Props if you can pull tent-ception off on the first go of it. :bigjoint:

autos are not bad. I have tried 3 or 4 different ones. I thought when I first started growing I would divid my tent. after getting it setup I knew that wasn't going to work for me. so what I did was got a 2'x4' shelves from menards. set my 4' t5s on one shelf for moms, t5 for veg on another and put cfls for seedlings, clones on another shelf. wrapped in mylar, (wouldn't use that again cause its just to thin and pita to clean without any stiff backing) I would go with a more ridge material.

If that's what you wanna do. I've never used an auto in my life.
Just an idea for a smaller space. I can harvest up to 3 plants a month like clockwork with autos. I couldn't pull that off with photos in my space no matter how I divide. I don't think I'd ever say they're better plants in general, but they are a better choice for a LOT of folks. There are reasons you see names like Mephisto a lot.

I've never driven a foreign car in my life. After over 30 years of driving, it doesn't mean they're bad. :bigjoint:

autos .....i know autos
this is super simple .....just stagger planting give it a weed to pop seed and get true leaf then tact on 2 or 4 weeks
2 weeks for every 2 weeks u bring something in or 4 weeks u do once a month

the rest of it does not matter .....keep it all in one area use a all in one led or a dual arc bulb and u are done

I was hoping to get away with short and stocky. I want to try to get at least 12 on a 1 month rinse and repeat method. Im leaning towards the auto flower as theu do better up in canada for some reason. Should i adjust the highet?

Ive been looking into numerous tents and there are alot of options out there which i have been considering on grabbing. As to the auto flower. That was going to be my over all method as to spped is a factor for me.

ive never dealt with autos so idk how they grow.. if you have 4 feet in height, minus light, and pot height, that's how much space you have for plants..probably not much space. id reconsider the height unless you can manage a vertical grow. might wanna check that out if 4 feet is the max.

No 4 feet isnt the max just thought. I was thinkin that 4 feet may have been a little short. Any recommended height as the plants sit right now there 4.5 feet tall at week 4 of flower. I was thinkin maybe 6 feet?

atleast 6'. just to give yourself plenty of room for lights and anything else you may hang from the "ceiling". when I built my first box it was in a basement and I built it with 6.5' height. had plenty of room for everything I needed to hang from above. gotta keep space between canopy and lights. . if you want them 4+ft at harvest youre going to need 6.5+ft in height.

They don't do better in Canada lol. They finish outdoors early but your indoors. I do grow auto's outdoors but not inside. I haven't found one that is worthy to go in the lab yet, they lack the more complexed highs I get from photo's and the majority I've tried really just are crap. Dutch passion seems to have some ok ones as does Mephisto I've been told. No need for multiple rooms with auto's and you may want to learn selfing plants to make the seeds if going auto's, way cheaper lol. Two rooms at 4x4 would be nice if you have space, one for cloning (photo's) and vegging. I use a 3x4 to veg, clone and it works ok. I have 8' head room and it's in two levels with the clones up, vegging plants below under T5's
