Need someone to check my fan wiring

Hi guys,

I'm setting up a clone box for next outdoor season and just wired up my fan. I don't have any electrical experience really so I just tossed this together and it seems to be working.

Could someone take a look at this and tell me if this setup is safe? Last thing I want to do is start a fire and this thing will be running constantly.

Lol. In my experience I've asked my electrician friend and his advice has always been "If it isn't running in reverse, smoking, or just not working... You did it right" beyond that... Make sure your connections are separated and properly connected which it seems like
you've done.

wires look well insulated and all. personally, i place ALL electrical equipment and wires high above ground like 5' and make sure i dont pass wires through flammable material. if i had to, i use tubes that i shut from both sides to suffocate any burning wire inside before it ever starts a fire.

The first time I fired up my clone box I actually brought the box up to bed with me and took the fire extinguisher from the kitchen and slept with it under my pillow. I survived the night and all has been well since!

Lol, sleep good my friend!

"Burning" wire doesn't need air. The heat comes from resistance, not combustion.

Don't scare the poor fella, Red! If he dies tonight because he slept though the flames... The world is a safer place tomorrow lol

you can get a cheap pastic box at home depot to screw that fan controller into so theres no wires all over the place and it doesnt look like a firetrap whether it is or not.
