Alright guys. I can post pictures if you would like.

I have grown one plant outdoors, it met a tragic ending at 34 days and she was a beast. I decided to invest and move inside. I'm using a grow cabinet that is essentially 2ft x 2ft.

I currently have:
1 75W FullSpectrumLED
4 23W(100W) CFLs
1 exhaust fan.

The 1 girl i have atm is 8 days from sprouting. I currently run 6/2 lighting. All lights are on when she's under lighting.

I have a 1000W LED on the way. 4 more clamp lights. Nutes (which I dont plant on using on every plant). 2 more fans. 1 for my intake hole and 1 for the plants.

I have 16 seeds right now I'm wanting to grow another one with the one I have now.

My plant is very healthy no drooping green as can be. There is a bit of purple under one of her 3 finger leaves but i believe the strain she came from had purple.

Forgot to mention i also have to hydrometers coming as well.

Any tips would be appreciated I will post a couple pictures. I mainly would like to know, is this efficient? It seems to be working great so far. I would like to bring the temperature up a little bit but no idea how since insulation isnt viable with my cabinet setting. 20200726_132812.jpg20200726_130749.jpg

Do yourself a favor and send back the 1000W blurple that's coming and get a better light.

But from what I've seen so far they seem better with secondary LED light setups unless you're willing to spend BIG BIG BUCKS to turn your whole op to plasma

That's interesting. I haven't heard of plasma lights. Why'd they discontinue it though.
I did not read that... maybe that model specifically but I guess up until just January of this year is when prices started to drop making them more available to the hobbyist grower. But Gavita has other models

When I click the link on the Gavita site it doesn't work either.

Idk what 1000w light you have coming, but as mentioned you should probably send it back. For a 2x2 area a single 100-120w quantum board will give you close to 30w/ sq ft which is a good number to aim for with quantum boards. I have no idea how all your CFLs or anything play into that, I would use those purely for seedling and veg as you’re doing now.

To the OP:

You need to post photos

You need to elaborate on what your 6/2 means and why you’re choosing to

You need to elaborate on where the exhaust air goes.

You need to elaborate what happened at 4 weeks and why you moved indoors

You need to elaborate on your soil medium

Your lighting choice is not enough for one plant let alone two

Sounds like you’ll spend the money but trying to making something work that you know won’t. Get a bigger space with ideal conditions and a normal grow light period.

Lighting is 4 100W CFLs. 4 more coming.
75W LED currently. 1000W is on the way ( not planning to return)
I have a small heater outside of my intake hole.
I have a fan on my intake. And a fan inside of the cabinet.
2 hygrometers.
My soil medium is FoxFarm Ocean Forest.
I am just trying out a 6 on 2 off 6 on 2 off etc lighting for veg and so far so good.

At 34 days my old plant was decapitated by a person. Destroyed. So I moved indoors to the only viable space i have to grow.

I think 8 100W CFLs will handle a full plant cycle. Alongside a 1000W led.
So far my seedling has been growing like crazy with no added nutes. And only 4CFLs and the 75W led.

Why do you think 1 75W with 4CFLs couldnt handle 1 small plant?

Haha well you’re def providing a lot of light to that plant. Do consider spectrum.

I’d recommend a YouTube video from Bruce Bugbee on photobiology

You can make your system work as of now for I’d say 6 weeks.

But if you are not going for pounds and an ounce or three is okay you may be able to do a long veg and achieve it.

I’d recommend doing a high pressure sodium bulb to make your space really flourish. I wouldn’t spend the money on high end LEDs unless you purchase a tent
