i thought nute burn too. but i ALWAYS give it less then it needs. ive never seen it over 6.4 can you give it nute burn by not giving it enough nutes? like right now its at 5.0. and i wanna take pics.but its just scary taking them and putting it on the comuter.but everyone else can do it.so it seems safe enough.

Those numbers sound like the pH.

If that is your pH,
then you have a problem.

If it is a tds number
then WoW!
you have killed your plant already.

I think the optimum PH is 5.8 for hydro setups, someone correct me if I'm wrong. 5 isn't horrible, but it could be better. And also fyi even if you go with less than the directions that can still burn some plants. Some companies have realllly aggresive (AN for example) feeding schedules that I've heard will kill most plants if you follow them. What kind of nutrients are we talking about here? Are you topping off the resevoir with just pure water (aka no nutrients in it)? As I said, pictures would make diagnosing the problem 10x easier.

You should get some hydro nutes,
either from the hydro store, or ebay.

If you are poor,
then get GH nutes.

If you are not broke,
then I would go with AN

Some additives will help with either nute system.

Some other useful hydro products are:

I also foliar spray with Reverse and Penetrator
during the first 10 days of flower
for insurance against hermies.

Don't forget to purchase a good pH meter.
I recommend Milwaukee or PinPoint
because they have a detachable probe
that can be replaced each grow,
and a good warranty.

The pH probes are interchangeable between Milwaukee and PinPoint.

You will need to calibrate your meter weekly,
or at least bi-weekly, at two set points, 4.01 and 7.00.

Don't forget to buy the cal fluid,
and never put your probe into H2o2 or RO water.
