need some help please, guys!

Hey guys thanks for reading.

ok so my plants are about 12 days old now,the biggest is about 7 inches, and on some of the plants (5 in total) the leaves are curling up slightly around the edges, and i have some spots of a yellowy orange starting to appear.

im in a 1.2 x 1.2 grow tent with a 600 hps, i have a carbon filter with exhaust and i have passive intake, the temps are about 82oF, but fluctuate a little due to the approaching summer.

im using MG 24-10-15, for increased nitrogen, should i half my dose by 50% for the nutes or possibly 75%.

i moved the plants about a foot away from the light this morning. they are currently in seedling soil i plan on transplanting them in about 1 week and a half.

also my ph is very very close to 8, any tips on how to reduce it, can i buy something that will take it down for me.

thanks very much guys, really appreciate the time for reading this.

I agree that it's too early for nutes, so they might have some fert burn starting. As for using lime, it's normally used to raise PH, and will keep your soil close to neutral(7.0), so I don't know if it's such a good idea to add any when your PH is already high, because it might keep the PH where it's at or raise it even more. Hmm....that's funny, after all the times I've used it myself, and all the reading I've done, I really couldn't tell you if lime would 'buffer down' a soil with high PH.*scratches head* I don't think it's such a good idea, so let's go another route....

Since they could already use a flush because of the nutes, that's the best option, IMO. Flush with some water PH'ed to somewhere around 6.0-6.4, until the PH comes down, preferably below 7.0(6.5 would be great). If you don't have any 'PH Down' designed for growing,(recommended) you can use lemon juice or vinegar(I've heard that both cider or white will work fine), or you can use the stuff for aquariums, as long as it's "phosphate free".

One question...Is it the soil that has the high PH, or is it the water that is high? I'm curious, because 8.0 seems awfully high for a seed starting mix. Also, is there any possibility that you could transplant soon after the flush? If you could, the new soil will keep the PH stable, and in the desired range, rather than risk it climbing again.

hey thanks for the reply man that helped me alot. here man my plants rfan leaves are droopy and are hanging down and they are very green aswell as the marks from the nute burn. and the top of the plant, when the new leaves are forming they are sort of curled in to the side, what could this be? have i messed it up by nuteing them too early, will they recover?

i will get on it and try and get that PH down asap.

thanks guys

Hi mate . Just flush your plants with PLENTY of water .
Keep off the nutes as its too early , Your plants should have enough nutes from the seed for 3-4 weeks . I dont give my plants a feed of nutes until the 4th week of veg , then i give them 3 feeds of high nitrogen feed then pot on to 13 ltr pots then give plants low nitrogen feed , Bio Bizz and molasses for 7 weeks then cut out all the nitrogen altogether and only give bio bizz and molasses for 2 weeks . Are you letting water sit in your grow room for 24 hours ?
What is your set up , Do you have any pics as that would really be helpful ,,

hey irish staff thanks for the tip. no pics at present but my grow room is a tent 1.2x1.2x2 meters , i have a 600 watt hps with carbon filter and exhaust im taking care of the intake myself, and ive just bought an oscillating fan for in the tent.

the plants i have on the go are just bagseed, but i have big-bud feminized ready to go. just thought id go for a dummy run first to see what way i geton. i think it was the nutes that did the damage i shouldnt have fed them.lol my leaves are yellowy and a very dark green, and the edges are curling upward a little. the leaves are very droopy though and some of them look like they have a glaze on them. i even moved them farther away from the light just incase. and the temperature is around the 80oF mark maybe a couple degrees higher during the day but not much so its pretty normal. would the soil PH have anything to do with it??

Thanks lads for the feedback, you are helping me a great deal here. gotta start somewhere right!lol
